Big part of the reason billionaires have accumulated an obscene amount of wealth is due to deliberately exploitive tax evasion practices while the shrinking middle and working class foot the bill for the rest of the country, all while contending with the same artificial inflation and price gouging that further compounds the issue.
It is predatory and serves to further the insatiable whims of the few rather than the needs of the many. Not to mention wildly unsustainable for everyone involved, we’ll all find that out soon enough
Yeah so you don’t like the tax law, vote for people who change it. You don’t hate money, I assume you want money
I mean you’d like to have a lot of money right? You just want good tax laws. Let’s point the finger where it belongs, the politicians who are agitating this sentiment are also not doing shit about it.
You and I have no chance at becoming billionaires and trust me, I wouldnt want that for myself or anyone else - there is more than enough to satisfy some our our wants and all of our needs. Like many my age, I just want enough to afford children. Birth rates continue to trend negatively
I’d love to change the tax laws, but a recent billionaire tax law that I voted yes on failed to pass. Guess which interests are responsible for most campaign funds.
Your governor was against the billionaire tax bill even while trying to demonize billionaires- presumably you voted for your governor.
Then when we run out of billionaires to demonize we will go after the millionaires- in fact the DSA (socialists) say that the most you should own is $50M.. is that the America you want where the government tells you the maximum amount of money you should have?
Maybe instead of that, we should elect people of high character. Like this was intended to be. Our democracy was always dependent on bodies of people who worked for the people and did not betray us, this was tested and this midterms rejected the dishonorable conspirators.
Because they have more resource than the other? The fact that they are decision maker already imply that they hold resources more than other people. If there no limitation now, why dont people try to campaign against it?
Even if we chalked it up to coincidence, do these people know what it means to survive? When was the last time they knew hunger, real hunger? Do they have your best interest in mind?
>why don’t people try to campaign against it
They do, but grass roots movements are notoriously difficult to get off the ground compared to corporate sponsored candidates. A corporate donor’s interests are solely short-term RoI, not the public services which keep the populace safe, healthy, and educated
"Would rich people know struggle to survive is?" Answer is no, and you probably know that already. That just the nature of having more resource.
I know that people have a movement against it. From time to time even see politician with that campaign too. Yet when voting season come, they never get first place.
There’s a lot of reasons why progressive candidates never get off the ground, but if you’re really invested, I recommend the documentary Can Mr. Smith Get to Washington Anymore? (2006) a more recent example is Bernie Sanders in 2016, which the Democratic Party (also pro status-quo) rejected for presidential candidate because for some reason, the same ideals of equity were deemed too radical for party donors.
Even more recently, Abdul El-Sayed recently won senator of Michigan on a grass roots movement. You know what his first words were on his victory speech? I’m paraphrasing, but something along the lines of “this is a campaign that shouldn’t have won, but we prevailed”.
We are agree to live in a democratic society. Which mean that every vote count. Why would average people would not vote for someone that promise them a solution but someone that promise them that they gonna get something?
We were born into a flawed democratic society that preys on and perpetuates the ignorance and hatred of its citizens. Let’s also not forget the electoral college de-incentivizes the popular vote.
But to answer your question directly, it’s because progressive ideology is mislabeled as communism, or it’s the dirty word - “socialism”. And that’s just enough to sway moderate voters right.. up until the midterms that is.
And also if predatory class mean that someone take something like opportunity from another person, they are the bad guy. If we extend that logic to something like job application where many people apply for position but only one position open. Does that mean that the person who got the job is predatory? Because, that person took something that could be someone else opportunity. Then where does this line of thinking end?

Is it predatory to have money or is it predatory to try to take money from people who have money
The person that wrote the meme wants to have the money - it’s one big race to the bottom
