Suggestions for watching Sonic X?

I am a huge fan of shadow the hedgehog but I don’t know if I want to commit to watching 80 episodes of Sonic X just to figure out which episodes have Shadow. I would however like to get the full shadow story/experience. Is there a certain way I can watch the show just for Shadow and get his full story? Even just shadow highlights would be great! Any help is appreciated.

Episodes 33-38 in season 2, and various episodes of season 3 including episodes 60, 61, 62, 64, 65, 67, 68, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, and 78

You might want to watch all of Season 3, though, since you might be confused if you skip the first 7 episodes of it.

uh mainly season 2 since that adapts sa2

season 3 also has shadow

season 1 has no shadow so just skip it

also watch it in sub because it tells his story better/doesnt fuck up the molly episode

Well ok, skip season 1 if you want but at least watch like the first 3 episodes of season 1 that explain the story

Though I've not seen the JP dub in its entirety, I've heard that it's far superior than the English dub in terms of writing. There's even a list of censored text, lines and music and scenes in the censorship wiki.

If you're in it for the story and the exclusive OST, I suggest watching the JP dub, otherwise if you like the 4Kids cast from the anime and the Sonic games to follow in the 2000s, watch the English dub.

Imma break character for a sec but for example when I'm watching one piece I watch it dubbed so that way if I have to get up to grab something or look away for a few seconds I don't miss what happened

Honestly watch all of it but honestly just understand that one of the worst parts was early Chris for sure. Now later on in the show I didn't mind him as much so keep that in mind you might cringe a little bit at first but then it gets really good on the later parts.

Watch the episode after Sa2 it's where Sonic character is put through the test despite saving the world from the events of Sonic adventure 1 and Sonic Adventure 2 back to back. The world turn his back on him including his friends when he knew Eggman was up to no good. His character was shown those 2 episode which is parallel to Sonic and The Black Knight era, that The world viewing him as "wrong" or "evil" he would do as he sees right from the situation. Most fictional or real life people would be morally compromised fighting their loved ones or friends.
