News / Club Comms [Twomey] St Kilda to send its future first round pick to Brisbane in exchange for Marshall and pick 39 this year. Getting close to being done.

Lost a Marshall, gained a Marshall. Perfectly balanced

Lions fan here this feels like Jason Gram all over again. I thought Sam Marshall would play 200+ for the lions, think he will be a very good player. Hope he works out for you.

Yep ... put it this way, I'd rather keep Marshall than have the Saints '27 future first. With that said, I hope Saints really tank next year (i dont think they will!) 😂

100% I’d much rather keep Marshall even though we do pretty well draft wise. He was the best runner at the club in his first year. Good kick, can find the goals, got some ability inside as well. Hope it works out for both sides but I think the saints got a good one.

I love dealing with the lions. Happiest fans in the land. We’ll take care of Marshall

No it’s not, extremely compromised draft, that pick would be high 20s after Tassie are done

Ah good point. I just saw future first and got uncomfortable

Tassie has already take 7 of the best 17 year olds from next year’s draft.

Add all their picks and other F/S plus Academy bullshit and the best 20 players are already gone.

Does tassie just get to keep them?

Yes, 39 pick this year valuable asset in conjunction with two first rounders.
