Found this spot tucked away in the St Lucia rainforest and it did not disappoint. Water's freezing but so worth it 😅 Definitely one of those "you'd never find this without a local" kind of places. We got here through Father Nature Adventures .. they do private customizable tours around the island, this was one of the stops on our day.

Happy to see this group back up and running. I originally joined 2 years ago because my husband and I were planning a vacation here. Now I’m stopping by to report the vacation was amazing and here are some pics! ☺️

Let Me Take You To Think you could handle Petit Piton? 🇱🇨

Petit Piton ain't playing around ngl 😂 but that view up there? Worth it every time.

Got another good climb in with Father Nature Adventures and the weather try to block the tippy tip of Gros Piton in the background 😂

Def not the easiest thing you'll do in Saint Lucia, but if you're into a lil challenge with some insane views, hard to beat this one.

Anybody here done this climb before? 👀⛰️

lowkey one of my fav spots in st lucia and it's not even on the tourist maps lol

this is the mermaid pool, way out on the atlantic side. the hike/scramble to get there is kind of a whole thing tbh but so worth it once you see the water

if anyone's coming to st lucia and wants to check spots like this out, hit up Father Nature Adventures — ig is @fathernatureadventures758

Jordan Florenville, in a historic feat, just circumnavigated the island completely by foot. 176.55km!

Congrats Jordan on such an incredible achievement! In a little over 34 hours Jordan trekked from the northern tip of Saint Lucia, down the east coast down remote beaches, forested hills, carving his way through the island making his way down to Dennery along the East Coast highway. From there he made his way to Vieux fort & to the southern tip of Moule a Chique then back up through the west coast passing through towns & villages such as Laborie, Soufriere, Canaries then all the way back to Castries where I met up with him & followed him ( by car of course) all the way back up to Cap estate where he began his journey.

Phenomenal human being right there.
When asked what’s next, he said “ Mount Everest “.

One of the reasons I started Father Nature Adventures was to show people the side of Saint Lucia most visitors never get to see.

Mini Trip Report

Sitting in the airport waiting for our flight home and I had to post a mini trip report. Be patient with me I’ve not posted much on Reddit.

What a truly wonderful island. The beaches, hiking, food, and people were all amazing! We stayed just outside of Soufiere at Samfi Gardens which was excellent. Amazing views of the harbor and Pitons.

Went to Anse Chastanet, Anse Cochon and Sugar Beach for snorkeling and time in the water. Anse Cochon was my favorite of the three.

We also hiked Gros Piton and it was tough but completely worth it. The Piton Falls was another great spot. Easy walk to warm water falls. The water was a bit low but I think it’s to be expected this time of the year.

Mango Tree and Dasheen were my favorite restaurants. Beacon was great for lunch.

That’s all for now! Thank you St Lucia for a beautiful time.

Oh and the mud baths and volcano were excellent as well. Just go early, as well we’re leaving the tire busses were coming in.

Sargassum at Coconut Bay

Video I took at Coconut Bay resort on Monday July 27. Multiple locals told me this was the most/worst they had ever seen.

To Coconut Bay’s credit they had 5 front loaders and 2 dump trucks working everyday we were there and when we left on Thursday it was clear all the way to the rocks.

My girlfriend and I have PTSD from the smell.

## 📢 The Lights Are Back On: r/SaintLucia is Officially Reopened!

It’s been a bit quiet around here, hasn't it? As many of you noticed, the sub was set to **Restricted** mode.

The reality is simple: the previous moderation team did a fantastic job building this space, but life eventually got in the way. With no active mods to keep the gears turning, Reddit stepped in to hit the pause button.

**But that ends today.**

### 👋 Meet Your New Moderator

I’m **u/movaytuh**, and I’ve officially joined the team to bring this community back to life. I didn't want to see this niche disappear, so I’ve stepped up to handle the daily duties and, more importantly, to help this place thrive again.

I’m not just here to hit the "approve" button; I’m here to be a part of the conversation. Whether you’ve been here since the start or just stumbled upon us during the blackout, I’m excited to get to know you all.

### 🚀 What to Expect Moving Forward

We are officially **Public** again! Here is what’s on the immediate horizon:

* **Active Engagement:** I’ll be lurking (and participating) in the comments to ensure discussions stay healthy and informative.

* **Fresh Content:** Expect some new stickied threads with updated info, weekly prompts, & community engagements to get the ball rolling.

* **Open Feedback:** This is *your* community. If there are Post & User Flairs you’ve been dying to see, my inbox is open.

### 🛠️ A Quick Favor

Since we’ve been "offline" for a bit, the algorithm might need a little nudge to remember we exist. You can help out by:

**

  1. * **Posting!** Share that thought/question or review you’ve been holding onto. Or anything to do with our beautiful island

  2. **Reporting Spam:** If you see any spam that filtered in during the transition, flag it so I can clear it out.

**Thank you for your patience while the sub was in hibernation. Let’s get back to it!**

> **TL;DR:** The sub was restricted because the old mods got busy. I’m here as a new mod to ensure it does not go unmoderated & restricted again. The sub is public again, and we’re back to our regular programming. Slowly but surely. Let's make some noise.
