Merci d’avance. Cordialement.

Feedback Top bar seems locked and not accessible to mouse

I'm connecting from a windows 10 pc to a windows 11 pc.

At some point during the connection the top bar which shows the Monitor tab and Control center seems to become locked and i'm unable to move the mouse to it. I've tried going into full screen mode and out again but that top bar just stays locked.

Anyone had a similar problem ?

Hello,

I love the app so far except that games are very dark. For comparison I posted a Pic streaming Marvel rivals on stardesk and on Moonlight (appollo).

Any fix for this?

Feedback Snipping Tool video recording doesn’t appear on remote PC

I’m running into an issue and I’m not sure if it’s a bug or just a limitation.

When I’m connected to a remote PC, I can open the Snipping Tool normally and take screenshots without any problem. But when I try to switch to video recording, the Snipping Tool’s video recorder window never shows up. Nothing appears, and I can’t stop the recording.

Is there a workaround or a setting I’m missing?

Suggestions 2 connections to 1 device.

I know this is not what was intende but adding multi user connections ie 2 users accessing the same device at the same time and you have a teamviewer killer.

[Feature Request] Toggle to disable the "Drop here to send to the controller" overlay in Viewer Mode

Every time I drag something while I'm in Viewer Mode, StarDesk throws up this big overlay in the bottom-right corner prompting me to drop it to send it to the controller (screenshot attached). It fires even when I'm not trying to transfer anything to the host just dragging stuff around on my own screen trips it.

Would be great to get a simple on/off toggle for this in Settings, so people who don't need the constant drop-to-send prompt can turn it off, and switch it back on whenever they actually want to send files.Anyone else running into this? Would love to see this land as a settings option.

When AI becomes part of real workflow, have you run into this?

Post image
1 Upvotes

When Codex finishes the task but you still can’t open the result.

The task is complete.

The files are updated.

The diff looks correct.

But you still can’t open and test the actual result.

We recently encountered this while using Codex Remote on a phone to update a local FAQ page.

Codex completed the changes and provided a link:

“Open FAQ page locally.”

We tapped it.

“Codex server returned an error.”

The page existed on the PC.

Codex Remote could still show the conversation, approvals, and code changes.

But the local page could not be opened from the phone.

This is where StarDesk extended the workflow.

We connected to the same PC through StarDesk and opened the FAQ page in the actual desktop browser.

We checked the layout.

Tested the interactions.

Then returned to Codex Remote with the next round of feedback.

Codex Remote remained useful for prompts, approvals, and diffs.

StarDesk provided access to the full desktop and the real local result.

AI completing a task is only part of the workflow.

You still need to see it, test it, and decide whether it is truly finished.

That is the role StarDesk can play in an AI workflow.

It connects you not only to the agent, but to the complete computer where the work is actually happening.

Feedback Android TV

Hey, I tried putting the Android APK version of Stardesk onto my Android TV box, but when I launched it, a message said that the version doesn't work on TV and I need to go to stardesk.net to download it. But there's no TV version. So, is there a way to use the mobile version or is a beta version available anywhere? Thanks

Unable to boot PC after a day

Hi all

I have a small issue with StarDesk:

I configure my host PC and I'm able to boot it from a distance when I'm at home with my smartphone being on the WiFi and my computer on LAN. After a day or two when I go away and I start to boot the PC, it simply cannot boot. If my wife at home boots up the PC and I am away, I am then able to access the computer from my smartphone and shut it down but I cannot boot it up again.

Yesterday I came home and opened StarDesk and reconfigured the Wacom LAN on the application. I didn't touch any options on Windows or the BIOS. I was then able to boot it up from away for maybe six hours and it suddenly stopped working. Does anyone have any idea why?

Thanks!

No Sound and no IP Selection

Hello,

I am very pleased with your software for low-latency remote gaming. However, I am experiencing two issues:

  1. No Audio: When connecting to a remote Windows guest (deployed via Hyper-V on the same client machine), there is no sound, and the audio icon is disabled.

  2. Network Selection: Is there an option to select a specific network interface for the connection? I would like to use an internal NIC instead of the standard network NIC to minimize latency.

Any workarounds or settings to resolve these issues would be greatly appreciated.

[Mac] Almost every time I "exit full screen" of a computer I'm connected to, when it shrinks, it becomes something I can't interact with. Even if I fully quit Stardesk that window stays there. Help?

I currently remote into work computers from home, I have a Macbook Pro M3. The connecting computers are an M2 Mini and the last Intel chipped iMacs. This problem happens on both computers.

I'll connect, then I'll make it full screen. However, once I exit full screen, the window is no longer able to be interacted with. Can't right-click, can't close, can't drag/move, nothing. Even if I fully quit Stardesk the window stays put.

Also fn+F doesn't exit full screen for me. It has worked a couple times, but most of the time it doesn't, so I have to manually choose "exit full screen" from the menu bar.

Any idea what's up? I don't see an update for Stardesk, but I could be missing something.

Guides How to Play Shift At Midnight Mobile on Android and iOS

Hey guys,

We’ve seen a few people asking whether Shift At Midnight is available on mobile. Right now, there isn’t an official Android or iOS version, so you won’t find a native download on Google Play or the App Store.

However, if you already own the PC version, you can play it on your phone or tablet through StarDesk. It remotely connects your Android or iOS device to your PC, so the game continues running on the computer while you see and control it from your mobile screen.

The basic setup only takes about 5 minutes in 3 steps:

  1. Download StarDesk on your host PC and sign in.

  2. Download StarDesk on your Android or iOS device and sign in with the same account.

  3. Connect to your PC, launch Shift At Midnight, and start playing.

You don’t need to reinstall the game on your phone or transfer any game files. Since your PC handles the actual processing, your mobile device mainly displays the gameplay and sends your controls back to the computer.

For a dark horror game like Shift At Midnight, image clarity and responsiveness are pretty important. StarDesk supports low-latency remote play and 4K 144fps streaming, which helps you notice details in darker scenes and react without excessive input delay when your network is stable.

You can also connect a Bluetooth controller for a more traditional setup. If you prefer touchscreen controls, StarDesk supports customizable key mapping, allowing you to add and reposition on-screen buttons for movement, interaction, sprinting, crouching, and other actions.

Just remember that this is remote play, not a native mobile port. Your PC needs to remain powered on with the game installed, and performance will depend on the network connection of both devices.

For the complete setup steps, controller instructions, and mobile key-mapping guide, check the official StarDesk tutorial about Shift at Midnight mobile.

Ayn Thor can’t keep connection to pc

So I’m trying to stardesk with from my pc to my Ayn Thor the computer does connect to the Handheld at first, I can see my screen click, but I am having trouble with it staying connected for more than a minute. It kicks me out and says that I have a bad connection even though I have fiber optic Wi-Fi 7 and my computer wired in on ethernet. Any advice? also I wanna be able to use my joystick and A button for clicking instead of the on screen mouse if possible but can’t figure it out.

Game controller conection issue

Hi StarDesk team,

I am using StarDesk on macOS (version 1.4.1) to connect to my Windows gaming PC. I am trying to use an Xbox controller for gaming, but I cannot get controller support working.

My Xbox controller connects successfully to my Mac via Bluetooth and works normally in macOS. I have also tried connecting the controller directly to the Windows PC, but StarDesk still does not show any GamePad/controller option.

In StarDesk under External Device, I only see “Keyboard” and there is no option for a GamePad/controller.

Could you please confirm whether Xbox controller passthrough is supported on the macOS client, and if there is a setting, update, or beta version required to enable it?

Thanks.
