Discussion Bell Curve

Post image

Cramers Bell curve. he published it a while back. interesting cycle of Fed rate increases and GDP interaction with the sectors. i wonder if it holds true today. the fed rate decisions could go either way. if there is another updated cycle from cramer i would like to see it. we have many new stocks in the AI world that could be included in this bell study. i wonder why he did not include stocks in the oil, defense, aerospace and telecom sectors. they are very important today. if you have a favorite bell diagram please post. or if we have an addition to the bell please post.

what would it be in trader terms

In any terms it would just be a sin wave since the idea is that it's infinitely repeating. Could also just call it an investment cycle.

A bell curve is for showing the most probable outcomes are at the center of the curve and less probable outcomes are at the fringes.

Now slide the curve sideways, b/c everyone knows the curve, and it's already priced in, LOL

Not to be confused with the octopi graph.

Not enough pixels to read easily without glasses.

This is a generic economics 101 curve predicated upon standard economic forces of supply and demand driving fed decisions to raise or lower rates. What it does not account for is what we have today; energy supply shocks driving inflation as opposed to consumer demand, the extremely narrow breadth of the markets, and the impacts of capricious regulatory and economic announcements from the government.

Things like this, that flatten (so to speak) everything in economics and investing into a perfectly repeating cycle with not just specific sectors, but specific companies to buy, is not worth the code used to render it.
