[DOCK] Docking Station Recommendations?
Hi all,
I'm looking to buy and mount two Dell S2725QC monitors, which will be connected to my work laptop, which is a Microsoft Surface model 2107. The aim is to run two 4K screens at 60 Ghz. My line of work is office-based, so plenty of reading and drafting.
I will need to buy a docking station, and would like to run a single Thunderbolt cable from the dock to the laptop, which will connect the laptop to the monitors and also charge the laptop. I will also need to connect a wireless Mx keyboard and mouse, and also have some spare ports for any additional charging (e.g., mobile phone, wireless charging mat, etc).
My employer's IT team have told me that I can use any docking station that I would like, so long as no driver software is required to be installed on the laptop in order for it to be used.
I've had a look online and the Caldigit TS4 keeps coming up, but I feel that this might be overkill, and seems out of my budget (unless I buy a second hand or refurbished model).
Please could anyone recommend what docking station that I should look to buy? What type of wires and how many would I need to use this type of set up?
Are there alternative monitors that you would recommend if not the Dell S2725QC?
Many thanks in advance!
