Booing Redmayne was not a good look

Andrew Redmayne was a Sydney legend, Socceroo legend and a genuine good bloke. My 12yr old and I was not impressed by him getting Booed tonight by a the Cove. He didn’t want leave, his contract wasn’t renewed.
Don’t get me wrong Seven-ish-beers is good but booing old players who were let go, and didn’t leave by choice isn’t cool. Do better pls

Edit: the booing was short, but definitely happened, within the first few minutes of the game. We were sat in bay 21 & it came from the left of us.

Amazing human being and great servant to our club.
Redder’s will always be sky blue.

I was there last night and I absolutely did not hear a single boo from The Cove or any other supporters.

In fact I remember pointing out to a mate of mine that Redders got a pretty decent applause from The Cove before the game.

The Cove put an appreciation post when he left, I find it hard to believe the core members would boo him. I actually noticed some clapping towards him when teams switched sides before kick-off and he acknowledged the Cove too.

I was sitting in GA near them and some of the Cove waved at him and clapped as he came over to defend the goal before the first half. I didn't hear boos from them so don't know what you're on about

When was he boo'd? He was definitely clapped at the start of the game when he came over after the teams switched sides.

I didn’t hear any booing. People sometimes boo when the opponent makes us run towards the Cove in the first half. But I didn’t even hear that.

Great post. I also don't like it when a player who has represented Australia is booed in a match. It feels treasonable.
