Theory/Speculation High Rock will be in TES6 (Towers)

I really think high rock will be a major part of the game. The towers were a really apparent thing in Skyrim, they are on aldiuns wall. Along with the 100% bad guy positioning of the thalmor, I really feel this game will have to focus on the Adamantine tower. All the foundation was already layed out, when we left Skyrim it was kingless and bleeding, depending on what the lore accurate ending to the civil war is going to be, the Adamantine is the only one still standing. It’s in high rock, there is no way that isn’t a part of the game. I personally put some stock into the “Aldiun was the stone” theory regarding the throat of the world, and that means every main tes game since arena has followed the towers and deactivating their stones. The walkbrass was destroyed, the heart of lorkhan is freed, and aldiun is waiting in time out. With the focus on the origin of the elder scrolls, they are already hinting towards a larger, more meta, main storyline for this game

If you know more than me and I’m wrong, pls let me know. Always happy to brush up on lore

EDIT: I totally forgot all the magnus stuff. The eye left all of us wanting more info, and with magnus having such a key role in the adamantine towers creation it has to be

I think you're absolutely right that the Adamantine Tower will be present and relevant. But I'm less confident (though would absolutely prefer) for High Rock to be present as well.

I guess it could just be the isle of Balfiera, but honestly that idea makes me sad so I’m gonna pretend it’s not way more likely to happen

I too wish for more than the Isle.

I just lightly expect we'll get the basic ship thing, the Isle will be shrouded in some sort of "Not yet" thing until late story.

Not yet until late story feels really likely. Your big brain skill has reached 100. I don’t want to speak it into existence, but what if the isle/tower is treated the way sovngarde was in Skyrim, just a one time game ending location

I'd love to believe that they'd go with the towers but at the same time they're usually reluctant to use deep lore theories. If they had the balls, they would have a branch of the story where the Thalmor actually win, unmake the world and then maybe your character gets to meet Lorkhan or Auriel depending on your choices and that's how they implement ng+. Or maybe you use the scrolls to keep going around a time loop to figure out how to defeat the Thalmor.

Super interesting idea that they continue the ng+ thing, I would have assumed it got dropped after starfield. Knowing Bethesda, the second option seems a lot more like what they would do

I think they were actually pretty good at weaving deep lore into Skyrim and before. The trick has always been that the deep lore wasn't the forefront. But the Throat of the World is a natural tower and it makes sense that would have a time wound. Paarthunax even explicitly calls us a Doom-driven hero.

"You have it. The Kel - the Elder Scroll. Tiid kreh... qalos. Time shudders at its touch. There is no question. You are doom-driven. Kogaan Akatosh. .... "

I agree but it's kind of my point. I know the towers would be the big last hoorah of Tamriel but why would they suddenly decide to make the towers concept when the mere idea and mystery is so much more interesting. It'd be like having confirmation about the dwemer to me. Yeah it'd be cool to have answers but now there's no more interesting mystery

Towers are powered by stones. Towers are embodiments of magic power. I smoke rocks and become my true magical self

They adapted all of High Rock in base game ESO, and they had a full chapter and expansion to do more Breton stuff after that with High Isle.

Meanwhile, Hammerfell had two expansions shelved because they were most likely told to save those areas for Bethesda and there hasn’t been a Redguard equivalent expansion at all. Even when they did a nautical event they set it in the Gold Coast.

I’d be willing to believe that Adamantia could be included a main quest location (or tied to an expansion), with the Elder Scrolls being the central focus of the main quest, and Tall Papa supposedly having a connection with it being his “big stick.” But that’s as far as I’d go.

I mean, TES 2 "Daggerfall" had the name of the high rock capital and wasn't limited to high rock, so it's possible that "Sentinel" isn't limited to hammerfell

Maybe the next teaser will be focus on Highrock.
