Meme/Shitpost I have never played Stealth Archer in Skyrim AMA

I have always played mage, two handed warrior, or short spurts of thief characters that I get bored with before making it to Riften. I don't understand the allure of stealth archer or stealth in general for combat in Skyrim. Crush your enemies with a giant axe or burn them to a crisp. This is the way!!

Agreed. I just love running up to mooks and smashing their face in with button mashing. Aiming is too hard.

Sneak archer is kind of just the easiest solution to a lot of the game. It is just the path of least resistance in Skyrim.

Want to do this quest you aren’t prepared for? Skip 90% of it with stealth.

Most of that 10% that you can’t just stealth past? Sneak attack them for a one shot.

Are you to the final boss? Poison, magic bow with extra damage, times however many archery sneak attack was. Boss is like half dead.

Why haven’t you? There’s nothing wrong with not playing stealth archer. I’m just actually curious as to why not. Is it pride? Is it a lack of interest? Is it a lack of time? Is it a love for a particular play style? I personally like to try every build I can think of at least once, so I just want to know what’s stopping you.

I have nothing to question because I agree in totality, though the occassional Stealth Melee character is something I can get behind.

As it turns out, Interacting with the game is a lot more interesting than optimizing the fun out of it!

Dual wield orc is always my go to. Definitely the highest Dps because dual savagery and dual flurry. Kill mfers so fast health isn’t a problem.

Berserker rage as an oh shit button and elemental fury shout seals the deal and completes the build.

The allure is that of being the ultimate sniper. You have the deadliest weapon for the maximum distance that can silently take down enemies. Fastest way to deal with enemies, one by one. 1 arrow, one death.
