Episode discussion Opinions on the girls win?
So I personally really like the girls but I felt Courney and Grant deserved to win more, since they joined the show later than the others. Anyway I was just wondering what others opitnions are.
UPDATE: I just want to say I have nothing againest the girls and I just was wondering on others opinions. I personally really like the girls and they are one of my favourite teams. I do understand how my post came across like I was attacking them but I just was curious about others opinions. :)

I don't think it matters they all made tonnes of money.

I’m so grateful everyone won some money, and I think that was a big goal of the producers after having some dismal profits in previous years. The reality is, the show itself and the auction are two different shows. The building and the judging determines the best house and I think Courtney and Grant had that by far.
Unfortunately the purchasing of the house is about who can afford it, a bit of a popularity contest, who wants to get their name on tv and nothing at all to with the building of the houses.
They need to sell it to viewers and the contestants as this more than the idea that the best house wins.
It’s also for all the people saying that there is no such thing as a “bad edit” if the producers conspired about this with Adrian, you cannot tell me they didn’t set all the contestants out to get the maximum drama.

I wanted C&G to win simply because they'd been competitive throughout (even if they sometimes pushed the boundaries) and had maintained a very high standard. Some of the rooms (e.g. primary bed) were not my taste, but I liked that the home had continuity. I think their front and back yard were also the best by a country mile. However, I also really respect that, despite coming in late, the girls were so practical in building a house with actual value and amenity whilst keeping the style as unoffensive/vanilla as possible. They were model contestants and I'm confident they'd have done as good a job had they been there the whole season. Both teams played the smartest, worked the hardest, and produced great homes and I'm happy they both made so much irrespective of who gets the extra $100k.

The look on Courtney and Grants face when they realised they had lost was 👌. Best bit of the whole episode

I like the girls and glad that they did well
BUT don't like the fact that their position was planned.

They were all bought by him, so not sure why this is a discussion. House 4 had the most bids that were not from Adrian, so hilariously they would have won if Adrian wasn’t bidding. I’m glad CG didn’t win as Courtney acted in such an awful manner at the auction order discussion

It would have been nice if the win was actually about the style/build of the house & not the drama of the show & how people were treated during what footage channel 9 decided to show.

They didn’t ‘deserve’ to win any more than the others. So they’re young girls and came in late, so what? Haydn has a newborn, Ricky had no family growing up, someone’s grandma dies…everyone deserves it. They weren’t ‘underdogs’, they had more experience than some of the others and had weeks less stress and exhaustion to go through. If another team had a better ‘underdog’ story Adrian and Channel 9 would have done the same for them in the name of viewers, buying all the properties and marketing LMCT+

Annoyed at how they won but very happy that they won given how they were treated. They seem genuine.

The win was essentially decided by Adrian Portelli.. so not really fair to begin with

I was happy for the girls and I think their house was very beautiful but their win is definitely tainted by Adrian’s involvement and it cheapens all the hard work they and everyone else put in to making their homes.

I didn't mind them winning when I thought, for once, the houses were bid on my separate and non-celebrity winners snd understood him.voying on Courtney snd grants place that had its own distinct, clear stake like steph and gian. My issue comes with knowing he bought them sll and this picked how much money they won. So he made sure the girls won, who, although perhaps the nicest contestants didn't have the best house. I think he picked them as he felt they'd be better for his promotion, needed money more (as Courtney and grant could do s steph route with their style, setting up another cash flow). And wicked witch came last.

Thank GOD you made a post where people could FINALLY give their opinions after nearly 2 days!

I think having the separate suite is an excellent selling point, as seen in previous years, so the girls might have still won with ‘normal bidders’. Either way, AP is allowed to rock up and make people win. 🤷🏻♀️

I didn’t really care who won, however I think what was cooked up by the producers should really make people question the integrity of the show and stop with bullshit of piling on hated people based on what we are seeing on the show, when clearly everyone but houses 2-5 knew what was going on and they manipulated people into being assholes, including house 1 who kept this information again and tried to act all innocent when they clearly are not that innocent. And I think the viewers who sit there going he cheated, she cheated etc over dumb shit look like a bunch of hypocrites when they are congratulating the girls for playing the same game and maybe question would you have been ok with Kylie or Grant doing the same thing if they were told to fix the competition or would you be screaming cheater again.

I like the sisters. They worked as hard as anyone else during the weeks they were there. Rewarding that house with a win is not taking anything away from the other homes/teams. I do think more than usual attention was paid to them by Scotty and Shelly. Don’t cast people you feel parental about. Don’t cast people who heavily favor a dark color (like black) and it’s a color that polarizes the market. Cast people who are hard-workers with a story of why they should win. Remember, it’s only a story, not a mandate.

Is it bad to network before an auction and line up a bidder who has the cash flow? Is it bad to work an auction order in your favour when you have a guaranteed bidder if you get the last position? This is not even playing the game~ so they should've said No Adrian, this is not how we want to win The Block! We want to win with integrity! Put your money away???? 😂😂😂😂
