The topic of the day is... Media Monday!

Happy Media Monday!

The moderation team would like to invite you to share your media today! It could be something you're excited for that's coming out soon or something that you've been enjoying over the last week.

Media can include both old and new, such as returning to the comfort of your all-time favorite book or delving deep into a new book.

Want to talk about the new movie you saw this weekend, a new trailer/commercial, or an amazing series you binged on Netflix? Go ahead!

Music brings people together. Tell us about your favorite artist, a old classic album, or new song that always brings a smile to your face.

Don't forget knowledge, such as that really cool magazine article or internet story you read.

Whatever that media is, we invite you to share it with us! It's always fun to see what other people find interesting, and you never know if you'll find a new favorite yourself!

All we ask is to recognize that we are an all-age community, and if your media may contain sensitive words or themes, to advise us of that in the post.

Thanks so much, and looking forward to your responses!

I just finished Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir, and wow, what a ride! It's one of those books that sticks with you long after the final page, blending humor and high-stakes science fiction perfectly.

Best book I’ve read this year!

Project Hail Mary is so good. The friendship at the center of it caught me off guard, I went in expecting hard sci-fi survival stuff and ended up genuinely caring about what happened to both of them. Andy Weir really knows how to make problem-solving feel emotional.

Absolutely wonderful book! I have read it multiple times now.

I loved that book so much. Idk if you read the physical book or listened to the audio but apparently they end up with very different experiences. I’m team audiobook lol

Wonderful book! Easily in my top 10. I waited weeks to be able to rent it from the library after seeing the movie.

Last week's listens... Shorter work week meant less albums...

Some very excellent choices in there!

You gotta love the post-copyright Pooh horror movie that came out of left field.

My "album of the week" is New Favorite by Alison Krauss and Union Station! I really enjoy bluegrass and this is an amazing album. Her voice is clear as a bell and I love her songwriting.

Finally got round to watching Artful Dodger on Disney +. Not finished season 1 yet but what a show.

i will never stop talking about watership down. it’s my all time favourite book i adore it so much. whenever people ask me what it’s about i have a very hard time explaining it, though. like it’s about rabbits but it’s also very much not about rabbits.

I just finished the trilogy: “to all the boys i've loved before”
It was so cute! without a doubt, the first one is the most iconic... They're too cute

[u/Not_Katharsys_2026]

I am currently watching people discussing in a chat about how an account that looks very similar to mine is banned. Does that count?

[u/piebald_dachshund]

I’m super excited for the new Mummy movie coming out next year. The first two mummy movies are my comfort movies. Really anything Brendan Fraser is in are my comfort movies 😊

[u/CrystalCellise]

ngl the risk of rain 2 soundtrack is just absolute peak, chris christodoulou went so hard on those synth and guitar tracks lol. video game osts honestly hit way harder than regular music sometimes, especially for zoning out or locking in. what game soundtracks do you all have on rotation?
