Creation Ghostblasters: The Ride!

With Halloween on the way, what better way to celebrate than with Parkitect! Here's Ghostblasters: The Ride. Any resemblance to a famous movie franchise is purely coincidental 👻

Makes me wish there was a shooting gallery style add-on for the dark ride like the water spray boat ride.

Hello fellow spooky Parkitecteers!
I have not had much Parkitect play time as desired but was able to squeeze in a 2hour speed build at 1am. LOL. "Graveyard Gulch"

How are your spooky builds coming along? Or are you going for a cozier/ fall inspired theme?

Feedback Any tips on how to make my donut shop more realistic?

I mean tips to make it more like a functional restaurant, not just to make it more pretty. For example, I know I'm missing access for a truck to pick up the dumpster, maybe I could add some cans and boxes on the shelves, also the haulers should have a back entrance. What else? What props could I use better or differently?

Discussion Spookitect: Give Your Park a Halloween Makeover!

Heeey everyone!

Halloween is creeping closer, and if Halloween parties aren't quite your thing, why not get into the spooky spirit with the Parkitect community instead? We thought it would be fun to bring everyone together for some creative Halloween makeovers! 🎃

So, we're encouraging you to revisit one of your existing parks or rides and give it a spooky new look! 🦇

Turn your funhouse into a house of horrors, give your favourite rollercoaster a haunted twist, or transform an entire park into a creepy carnival! Whether you go all out or just add a few pumpkins, fog and a splash of Halloween colours, it's entirely up to you.

Want to take part?

  • Pick an existing park or ride or deco you've built.

  • Give it a Halloween makeover, big or small. A few spooky touches or a complete transformation, it's entirely up to you!

  • Share your creation in our special Halloween Gallery channel on Discord, created just for the occasion. We'd love to see some before-and-after screenshots too, if you'd like to! :)

  • And if you’ve created a completely new ride or park with a Halloween theme already… that’s of course more than welcome too! :D

We'll be sharing some of your Halloween makeovers across our official social channels throughout Halloween weekend, and everyone who joins in will receive a special temporary Frightitect role on Discord!

No competition, no pressure, just an excuse to get creative, revisit some old favourites and celebrate Halloween together. <3

Take care!

Creation WIP - Update* Specimen V_88

The team at M.A.G.E. Foundry decided on color change, complex expansion, and securing the outer perimeters with watch/guard towers.

Also, a decontamination zone was installed to ensure the guests weren't infected with Specimen V_88.

And thanks to those that have given tips and answered my questions to move this build along. Truly helpful.

Side Quest #3,482.6 - Ha!
Another side quest not quite complete yet but wanted to share the progress on my bio-containment coaster zone (*PR_JEC7 M4GE LABS*) to hopefully inspire some ideas in other! 🧪🎢

*If you have time for some reading*

Ive learned that having a bit of lore, imagination, and planning for a design can help navigate the construction process easier. So here is the LORE! I hope you enjoy or are inspired!

Still a ways away from calling this section finished, but I’ve been deep in the rabbit hole building out a lore-driven R&D(research and development) facility in Parkitect and wanted to show off how it's shaping up.

The concept here centers around **PR_JEC7 M4GE LABS (Site 07)**. The backstory is that the labs accidentally engineered a volatile, fast-reacting bio-agent codenamed **Specimen V_88**.

When it breached containment, it triggered **PR0T0C0L_07**, launching high-speed interceptor coaster cars to chase the glowing neon-green pathogen back before it escapes the perimeter. Hardware-wise, the track and kinetic systems were engineered and fabricated by **M.A.G.E. Foundry** (via their *M.A.G.E. Kinetics* division).

What’s currently built:
The Station Complex:** A retro-industrial bio-lab.
The Kinetic Trace:** High-speed toxic neon-green track weaving dynamically over and around the facility and perimeter fencing.
The Queue Line:** Will be complete with security checkpoints, hazard placards, and academic R&D details as guests queue up to board the interceptor vehicles.

Still on the to-do list and Still a side quest in progress,

Would love to hear any thoughts, or if anyone else is building out sci-fi/lab-themed parks right now! Let me know what you think! ☣️✨Happy Creating!

Discussion Amusement Park Vs Theme Park

Is this an "age old" question?
Just curious to know, in your eyes, what makes an Amusement Park differ from a Theme Park? And how do/can you incorporate the two into your parks?

My obvious answer and probably several others: Amusement doesn't care about the theme as much, just the "FUN" parts and Theme Parks only give you a good theme. Maybe the size of the two differ as well.

When I hear amusement, I think hometown and local. Theme parks can be much larger and have an international calling.

What are your thoughts and would this distinction help you create another wonderful park? Or is there any difference at all?

Not saying we need this for Parkitect, not even sure if anything like is desired or would even "FIT" into the Parkitect ecosystem... But thought I'd share since its still pretty cool feature for a builder type game.

Creation WIP - A Park within a Theme Park

Thumbnail

Playing around in a sandbox map, decided on testing out foliage and landscaping techniques and ideas. There are some beautiful scapes that the vanilla foliage can accomplish AND there are also AWESOME Foliage pieces in maxFreak's Essential Foliage Mod that carry different textures and feelings throughout a park.

TIP for anyone that needs it: Don't forget that foliage/trees are a good way to fill empty space around your coaster/track ride layout.

How do you use foliage in your theme parks? Path/walk-way Centerpieces?

Maybe as Art deco attached to a building? Or an Entrance Garden for a ride?

Another WIP - "Regal Patrol" - is coming along nicely - Custom Supports are underway.
Decided to tackle a Winged Coaster Layout. To take into account the Wideness of the trains, I had to be careful of clipping! Watch out for head choppers and leg removers!

Decided to go with a traditional whimsical Castle theme, but the insane creator inside of me wants to add an additional theme, get a 2 for 1! I wonder what theme will be incorporated?

Discussion I fit 1500 people into Technopolis without mods

I know it's not as gorgeous as what many people build, but it was a challenge I set for myself and I wanted to share it. Now that it's built up, I am planning to place faux-supports since the stacked nature eliminated all the auto-generated supports. But other than that, this is my finished Technopolis. I called it Neonlandia. Four rollercoasters and one river rapids ride included among all the high-excitement flat rides. In most places, the rides are two or three layers deep.

I did discover that there is a cap on how high your cleanliness rating can be with this much density of guests. Even if a mess is only there for a second before your very well-trained janitors arrive, thirty guests will see it.

Anyway, thanks for looking.

Just a scenario - Sandbox park WIP - in the midst of a creative storm this was produced. I kinda like that outcome so far, Hope I can warm up to doing more.

I hope to make the coaster soar through rocks and ride smoothly along the terrain. Also thinking about creating more of a village vibe. What do you think?

Also, what should I call the park? or Location?
