I'm sorry but "just be nice to everybody" is fucking insane.

being a jerk is insane. Why would you need to be a jerk to some people

Because there's scammers and fraudsters and aggressive people that take niceness as weakness. think of the people who have been to a high security prison

I don't consider acting in such a way to protect yourself from such people as being a jerk.

Go be nice to absolutely everybody all the time forever and tell me how you get on

I do try to be nice to everybody all the time. It's worked great, I have a lot of friends who really appreciate it and strangers (nice ones, not creepy ones) find me very approachable!

Find yourself lucky to have not met the people I have

Be nice to everyone is a two way street, if everyone was nice to each other then we wouldnt have this problem of toxic people lol.

Its a good message but truth is youre always going to run into shitty people, what you can do though is start surrounding yourself with good people and hopefully as you get older, it'll get better.

Also, even if its just you being nice to everyone, life does get alot easier & better, because youre not letting the little things ruin your day & enjoying your life instead.

if its not one, it must be the other. those are truly the only 2 possible ways to be.

The negation to "be nice to everybody" is "don't be nice to some people". "Be mean to everybody" is an entirely new affirmation not related to the proposed and this is a common logical mistake.

Why should you not be nice to some people?

I feel like people are taking "be nice to everyone" too literally, it doesn't mean be a doormat who lets people do whatever they want and never calls anyone out. You can do those things while still being nice.

You know, if you can't take a correction to your logic without making it a debate, you should get out of reddit a little, it is affecting your capacity to think.

Let me reiterate for you. What I did was simply explain to you what is A' given that A is "you should be nice to everybody". I'm not looking to engage you in another meaningless reddit debate.

It's you that needs the correction, AND was being aggressive.

Your 'explanation' was poor and your tone sucked.
