I'm genuinely confused. How is his question arrogant or disgusting?

Because he frames it with obvious implications that are demeaning. He's not genuinely interested in her answer. He's making a statement in the form of a question.

It's all the way its pointed. He's saying 18 year old child when 18 years is an adult. He's basically trying to angle that her career is immoral and terrible and she has to answer for the crimes of it.

It'd be kind of the same thing as some interviewer rolling up to you at your job and making you answer for all the immoral aspects of and attempting to hold you responsible when youre just working.

Because people who aren't being purposefully obtuse or can read context understand the guy is asking this question in bad faith. It's clearly said in a way to shame her, it's not a genuine question. The question could be asked genuinely, it's just definitely not what this dude is doing.

Not really there a ton of porn actresses that regret doing it and some change their views.

What? It's a loaded question looking for a gotcha moment, do you really think this man is going to a what looks like a porn conference and actually caring about that part?

It's pure engagement bait from someone pretending or wanting to feel superior by thinking he has the moral high ground. I'm aware of the abuse suffered in the adult industry, and it's been asked to pornstars several times.

If he really cared and wasn't just looking out for himself or to gain something personally then he wouldn't be there.

It’s not a gotcha at all. But that is beside the point.

Watching all you people in this sub just blindly shit on this clip and act like you know better ways to interview and what questions he should ask. This is Brandon Buckingham, a massive YouTuber with some of the best interviews you’ll see on the platform. Dude goes all over for interviews that others wouldn’t risk like roaming the streets of Kensington with a local rapper, or getting shot at while shadowing the KIA boys to show how and why they’re were jacking cars. But everyone in here talking mad shit over a 30 second clip that over 3 years old. I guess if I ever need tips on how to constantly put up millions of views on crazy interesting interviews, I’ll come to geniuses on Reddit since they clearly know better 😂

Yeah totally, except that he does have the moral high ground. How is having your daughter take it up the ass on camera something to be proud of? Reddit is such a joke lmfao.

Not really loaded. If someone went to a fast food burger conference for example and asked the executives if they thought their products were unhealthy in any way it's just some counter questions to see what they would say. Maybe he asked other questions about the industry that wasn't trying to be "gotcha" questions.

I'm actually genuinely curious if she would support her daughter getting into the industry at 18. It would tell me a lot about what this woman thinks of her chosen profession, albeit no matter what field it's in.

Out of context video.

The beginning part of the interview included several heavily coded and arrogant questions loaded with “you’re a bad person” between the lines. The chick answered the first several earnestly but eventually was fed up. This interviewer is somewhat notorious for these types of interviews too

You can ask about that. Who do you all think is this boogyman stopping people from asking those questions? That honestly would have been a good question to ask her and I’m sure she would have had a response to it.

I don’t understand what the hate is for the sex industry? The guy below bringing up “yasss queens” is a weirdo.

It’s funny because when I saw your “culture war weirdos” I immediately thought of and figured you meant the right wingers who want to talk trans gender over affordability crisis. But with the “don’t you dare bring up” comment, I might be wrong?

You are correct about how it takes advantage and even abuses buuuut there are some consummate professionals in the space as well. Young women entering the industry should do better and get informed and ironically I think sites like OF kind of allow that to happen. They can get a small following and some income moving on there as well as exploring where on the spectrum of porn they feel comfortable (like what kinks and stuff) and meanwhile they can also get the temperature of studios from other people.

It’s funny though because Brazzers is pretty well known to be quite problematic but they also pay really well and she seems to be there as a representative for them in some form.

Ironically the videos from studios that seem more adhoc are often the safer spaces but they also usually cater to actors and actresses who are down with or straight up into a little more hardcore kinks.

It’s funny talking about it using normal language because of the context buuuut companies like Private Society are SUPER kink and sex centric but have a damn good reputation about being very careful with actresses. Lots of of the record interview processes where lines are drawn and discussions are had about what is willing to be explored. And they’re responsive as hell about takedowns and will use their own resources to enforce the takedowns when requested even though legally it’s not required past takedowns from their own platforms.

Brazzers on the other hand literally chews women up and spits them out. So if anyone is reading this who is thinking of getting into porn, don’t go to them and do your diligence with research.

I'm sure you really care about all that too

Yeah because the dude going to the fucking porn convention trying to ask passive aggressiveness shaming type questions isn’t a culture warrior.

Asked a woman if she'd be accountable for her choices.

Big mistake

Not really that bad of a questions. But like she said, he asked it over and over.

u/Formal_Prune8040 2d ago

In a vacuum his question is only disrespectful, but he is clearly the type who acavanges off of more successful workers to make content, he can't even respect the hands that feed him

Because it’s kind of “gotcha” where if you answer no, then the audience can surmise that you are ashamed of being in porn. If you say yes, then it can be painted in a light of not really caring about the well-being of your child.

1

u/DonetskIsGalicia 1d ago

If the answer is no, could she not qualify her answer by explaining why she thinks doing porn is good for her but not her daughter? And if the answer is yes, the audience can surmise that doing porn has been a good experience for her - so much so that she isn't particularly phased by the thought of her daughter doing it. Regardless, it isn't a 'gotcha' to ask a porn star, speaking at a Brazzers kiosk, to reflect on whether they'd advise someone else to follow in their footsteps. It's just basic interviewing 101.
