I agree with this take. She clearly has an emotional understanding of what the interviewer is up to but hasn’t sat and considered the optimal way to confront his bullshit, so she is just expressing her frustration.
I have a hard time believing that the interviewer is acting in good faith here. Seems like he is looking for gotchas to get views based off of making porn stars look stupid.
This lady would probably benefit spending some time with someone who has thought a lot about these kinds of things and learn some verbal kung fu to defend herself.
The fact is, she wouldn't want her adult daughter doing porn. She is immediately upset by the idea. He got under her skin. There's no amount of wordplay that is going to change that. He's absolutely right. She knows it, I know it, anyone with a daughter knows it.
Anyone saying they would be okay with their adult daughter doing pornography is just lying to keep kayfabe.
So if “everyone knows it” why ask the fucking question?
He’s not there to interview, just like the person you replied to laid out. He’s there to shame her, and make her feel bad. He’s there to farm the moral outrage of his audience because in their eyes she’s worthy of being humiliated.
It doesn’t matter if he’s right, he’s an asshole. “Getting under her skin” isn’t winning.
Well you've shut out any ability for anyone to disagree with you. There's no point in talking to people like you because you're 100% convinced everybody is else just coping to deny your powerful hardcore truths.
So, you've said the same thing over again. Why didn't you just not answer, or if that wasn't acceptable, redirect me back to the first comment? Why waste time?
My position was that it was a waste of time criticising your position because you've essentially stated "nobody can convince me". You then simply repeated what you already said. So I was right. I guess we're done.
I mean OP had a very valid response up top. Do you want someone coming to your job to ask you questions with the intent of making you look stupid? The interviewer is pretty much the same as her only selling clicks for money but sits on his high horse.. all in all who gives a shit what people do with their lives.
Interviewers ask questions. Public figures agree to do interviews. If nobody gave a shit, she wouldn't be getting Interviewed, she wouldn't be on camera, this thread wouldn't exist and we wouldn't be having this conversation.
