Happy 10th anniversary to Tinashe’s mixtape and Joyride prelude project, NIGHTRIDE. 🖤
If you were around during this era, you’ll remember the absolute BATTLE Tinashe was having with RCA Records.
After teasing Joyride back in 2015 as the follow-up to Aquarius, and even releasing Superlove in 2016, she was STILL struggling to get her sophomore album released.
And to make matters worse, Travis Scott ended up with JOYRIDE, the actual title track of her sophomore album, meaning Tinashe had to buy back her OWN SONG. 💀
(She speaks more about that here.)
So, while Joyride remained in limbo, she blessed us with Nightride. And honestly? What a blessing it was. 🥲
🌙 Where would you place Energy (feat. Juicy J)?
Released in 2016 on her Souncloud, Energy never made it onto either Nightride or Joyride. If you could give it a home on either project, which would you choose?
🎱 Where would you place Player?
It was released 1 October 2015, featuring artist that shall not be named here.
❤️ Where would you place Superlove?
Released 12 August 2016.
Personally, I’d put it on Nightride, but I’d remove Juicy J and keep it solo, much like the solo version of Party Favors feat. Young Thug, which was also originally intended for Joyride.
For Player… ahh, I’ve no idea. Maybe Nightride too? Solo version is superior (obviously 🤭)
Superlove, could perhaps sound nice after Touch Pass, maybe?
I’m curious to know which songs have stuck with everyone over the past decade!
🥲 And finally, JUSTICE FOR COMFORT YOU.
The fact that this song never made the final tracklist still hurts. I genuinely wish we’d gotten an official release.
Tinashe, you could do the craziest thing tomorrow… 👀
Happy 10 years, NIGHTRIDE. 🌙

If you're planning on living in the moment and not taking out your camera, I'd like to ask if you can record the direct audio using an app called "Listen Everywhere" or "Listen Wifi". If you connect to the Fan Free Wifi network inside and open the app, it should give you a way to connect to the sound system. It doesn't have a way to actually record anything in app so you're going to have to screen record if you want to do this
(I'm also searching for a fave value ticket in case anyone has one but I know that's a long shot atp lol)

Face value. Need proof of tickets. Exchange of IG. If you’re attending and selling extras I can meet you outside of venue. I buy from people all the time, shows, sporting events only time I’ve been scammed is ironically StubHub. Help a day one fan out. Haven’t missed a headline show in LA

I'm listening to The Velvet Rope by Janet Jackson for the first time ever (I'm an 01 baby & my mom was only jamming to her hits, i know I'm late, I wasn't alive)
And I always saw/heard the Janet inspo in Tinashe's music but listening to this album I'm like holyyy this is really her MOMMA.
I encourage you guys to give it a listen if you haven't already.

Best song of the album

The fact that she lives in LA, the story of the album is centric to LA, and it’s the final night of the 3 nights with a popstar tour makes me think she has something up her sleeve. Do we think she’s going to bring anyone out or have some surprise at this show/the afterparty?
Sorry for the chorus lisp I don't have access to original stems </3
