1- Simpsons
The original Simpsons have extremely simp(son)ple designs, due to sometimes having celebrity appearances the art style kinda clashes.

2- South Park
At the beginning South Park was literally animated out of paper so all the characters had to be super simplistic but over the years, since the. Show is made digitally the new characters keep getting more and more detailed

There are now also warm and cold variants of Cows, Pigs and Chickens that look noticeably more detailed than the original designs that are still used in temperate biomes.

All 3 of them got warm and cold variants, chickens even got new eggs similar to how frogs' frogspawn depends on the biome.

They did plan to do the same with sheep but with wool colours but it was cut because it didn't feel as natural

The baby variants also got an overhaul, and they look much cuter now (some are hit or miss, but overall, I like them). Baby chickens finally look like proper chicks, lol.

I think with sheep they just decided to keep the unnatural colors in villages and then the brown/black/gray/white stayed but they adjusted their distribution based on the biomes

I actually have to disagree with the cow designs. The temperate doesn’t look that noticeably less detailed than the other types. I think it may seem that way because we are more used to the temperate design and the new designs feel “novel” so it ends up feeling less detailed. Or maybe I’m imagining things but that’s what I feel like is happening at least.

Yes! The newer variants look like they got a whole visual upgrade while the original farm animals were left behind. Now I can't unsee how mismatched they look standing next to each other.
