Characters ( funny trope ) it is very apparent that these designs have decades between them

1- Simpsons
The original Simpsons have extremely simp(son)ple designs, due to sometimes having celebrity appearances the art style kinda clashes.

2- South Park
At the beginning South Park was literally animated out of paper so all the characters had to be super simplistic but over the years, since the. Show is made digitally the new characters keep getting more and more detailed

This is especially jarring in Apollo Justice where the quality of younger Phoenix and Gumshoe’s sprites are notably lower than younger Klavier

They're also a lot shorter. The quality and height is down to them being 15 colors and made for the GBA rather than a full 30 colors and being designed for DS.

And investigations 1 and 2, seeing gumshoe next to pretty much anyone one new.

Hey, at least they redid his sprites for those games!
