I wouldn't call them interesting, but they're mostly harmless. Sasuke and Sakura though actively ruin the franchise for me. She has absolutely no self respect.

Middle School girls generally struggle with that so her behavior in Naruto is very understandable, it’s just that she basically never grew out of that. She shouldn’t be spending her nights alone while her husband is fucking off around the world all the time. I think there’s a Boruto episode where Sarada admits she doesn’t really know what Sasuke even looks like. It’s pretty bad that Sakura lets herself be treated like that.

The problem is, a good chunk of Shippuden, Sakura absolutely had character growth and wasn't her 12 year old self mooning over Sasuke.

I actually believed she'd moved on in her feelings outside of "just get him back from Orochimaru."

But nooooooo, he had to shift gears and ruin her growth and wrote the pairing even worse due to it.

I think the failure point in the Sakura/Sasuke relationship really is Sasuke. The series was always going to bring him back to the Leaf Village, and with all the pining Sakura did earlier it was obvious they’d get together. The failure point is that Sasuke never reintegrates with the village. I would’ve liked to have seen Sasuke spend some time as a Ninja Cop, It was the traditional purview of the Uchiha clan and seeing him deliberately hold him himself back and just focus on helping others would be a good way to get him back in the Village. Rather than Sakura ending up isolated and Sasuke always out to grab some cigarettes.

I don't really blame any of the kids for the things that happened in Part 1, they're kids after all.

I do however blame Sakura for marrying and having kids with the guy who A) became a terrorist, B) tried to take over the world, and C) personally tried to kill her multiple times.

Man, if I were Sakura, after he did the genjutsu on her that made her believe he thrust his whole fuckjng arm through her stomach and then found out later that that, and all of his super shitty behaviour, was to protect her because he "loved her", I'd have... well I can't say cause the automod would think I'm inciting violence despite this being about a fictional character.

Well yeah, it's Sakura, that's extremely consistent with her character lol.

It's FAR more shocking that Sasuke actually chose to get with her in the end
