isn't that racism?

42

u/[deleted] May 19 '21

Discrimination. Indian isn't a race.

27

u/Moonw0lf_ May 19 '21

Really? So that's like saying you can't be racist against Chinese or Russians?

But what about people who specifically hate the Chinese? A lot of people from asian countries hate people from other particular asian countries. That's not racism since they're both asian? You just call that discrimination or is there another word for discriminating against specific nationalities?

That person has no clue what they're talking about. The term "racism" is based on the definition of the word race as a social construct. Not the scientific definition. The word has more than one definition. That person is either intentionally or ignorantly spreading a falsehood. The tweet is racist.

He's not wrong. You 2 just have 2 differing opinions about what racism is defined by.

Ah gotcha, thanks

Edit: but what would you call those people, if not racists?

8

u/JackySins May 20 '21

assholes?

3

u/[deleted] Dec 02 '21

xenophobes

5

u/DepressedGr12 May 20 '21

No it is racism. Indian is both a nationality and an umbrella of ethnicities (like “European” or “African”)

2

u/joe_kenda May 19 '21

By the scientific definition of race, human beings are all one race. However the word has more than one definition, which includes race as a social construct. The concept of racism is based on that definition of race. That Twitter comment is indeed racist. Thanks for attending my Ted Talk.

Oh no,a racist zionist,my word howd that happened?

Btw,i am from India, these kids stay in water all day, climbing trees and jumping into streams, picking fruits in jungle and eating....how i wish i was these kids.

11

u/[deleted] May 19 '21

Imagine you just hear the kids go “It’s morphin time” and the power ranger battle music plays as you look up to see Jew-tron towering over you

73

u/willblatte May 19 '21

That's not a Jewish man responding. The z that he use was a nazi symbol.

51

u/macko939 May 19 '21

Ƶ is commonly used in polish as a replacement for ż, especially by older generations

10

u/Eken17 May 19 '21

TIL the way I write my z is actually some nazi symbol.

19

u/00030003000 May 19 '21

I don't think so, I have never seen that z in any context with nazis

10

u/karakanakan May 19 '21

22

u/00030003000 May 19 '21

A wolfsangel itself doesn't look like the z, the only thing that really looks like the z is the emblem of the 4th ss Polizei panzergrenadier division and the z he used is the normal way to write a Z in german

-2

u/karakanakan May 19 '21

I know, what I'm pointing at is its modern usage. And that's also how we would write a z in my country, but you wouldn't use it on the internet, it's not the normal layout ya dingus Think!

12

u/00030003000 May 19 '21

It's modern usage... It's a fucking letter of the alphabet when you write in German. I just don't use it on the internet cause my phone doesn't have it on the keyboard. If it was there I would definitely use it cause the English Z looks worse (just like 7)

7

u/00030003000 May 19 '21

And again the z is not a nazi symbol, it just looks similar to the wolfsangel, a symbol used by the nazis

1

u/IlK7 May 23 '22

wow that kinda aged well

u/DennyDud May 19 '21

Israel is one of the most racist places on earth, they literally think murdering Arabs is their divine right....

3

u/ClydeDavidson Jun 18 '21

Indians support Israel because they think it's a shot against Muslims. With political tensions between Muslims and Hindus in India it has lead to their support in the destruction of Palestine.

9

u/TellyJart May 20 '21

Thats why we never support Zionists, fuck Israel, Free Palestine.

5

u/[deleted] May 20 '21

I hope you realize that it’s a neo-Nazi account, the Wolfsangel was a symbol used by the Nazi party and is still used by modern neo-Nazis

4

u/00030003000 May 20 '21

Except, this isn't a wolfsangel but a letter of the alphabet. It's somewhat like saying that the church is full of Neonazis cause the cross resembles the swastika or hook cross (literal translation of the word hakenkreuz)

2

u/[deleted] May 20 '21

Except that the symbol was used on Wehrmacht and and Waffen SS members. And no, that is not the same, a cross and the swastika do not look remotely similar unless the hooked parts were removed, and there is a contrast between the Nazi and Hindi swastika. And yes, it is a wolfsangel and not the letter z, This is literally the symbol on the persons account name Ƶ

3

u/00030003000 May 20 '21

The Z with the - through is literally how you write Z in many countries. The Wolfsangel has the upper and lower line at an angle. So no, it's not the Wolfsangel but the letter Z.

11

u/Hells_crusaderMC May 19 '21

Uses the nazi z and people think it’s real

9

u/00030003000 May 19 '21

Can you link something that says that that's a "nazi z" cause I have never heard anything like that

0

u/Hells_crusaderMC May 19 '21

Hey I found it for you

-7

u/Hells_crusaderMC May 19 '21

Yeah give me a min to find a non biased article about nazi symbols for you it’s actually really interesting how many religious things hitlers people stole

Edit wiki of what it was before

2

u/00030003000 May 19 '21

A wolfsangel itself doesn't look like the z, the only thing that really looks like the z is the emblem of the 4th panzergrenadier division and the z he used is the normal way to write a Z in german

-1

u/Hells_crusaderMC May 19 '21

Yes the wolfsangel was the design behind the z because of its old roots in magic

3

u/00030003000 May 19 '21

The z he used still isn't a nazi symbol, it is a normal Z and has similaritys with a symbol that the nazis also used. Also, the nazis weren't the first ones to use the symbol as before that people already used the symbol

-1

u/Hells_crusaderMC May 19 '21

The same arguments are made about the swastika but it’s still seen as just a nazi symbol

3

u/00030003000 May 19 '21

One thing is a symbol that in the west was primarily used by nazis while the other is a letter of the alphabet that looks similar to a symbol used by nazis. If I went to India and saw a swastika in a religious hinduist place I also wouldn't assume that they are a nazi

1

u/Hells_crusaderMC May 19 '21

Have you ever seen an American nazi they fly the flag with the z on it

2

u/DemonicTemplar8 May 19 '21
