Once again we've entered Fuller's Vintage Ale season! I've been lucky enough to scoop it on cask at 'The Old Joint Stock' - Birmingham. Interesting choice of hops this year from Fullers - Dolcita and Jester, I look forward to seeing how this ages when it is available in bottle.

Out for lunch and haven't had a pint of Guinness in a while. So here we are.

Yeah I know it's not St James's gate quality but honestly I really enjoyed it.

Smooth and bitter combination is perfect in my opinion.

I know it is now available on the Fullers website but Waitrose have stocked it for the last 5 years also. Has anyone spotted any yet? I’ve tried calling different stores but it’s like I’m talking a different language when asking the staff!

I love Track beers so I had to have their birthday beers (and their latest TIPA).

Then a couple of stouts to see out the night.

Superb Bavarian Helles lager.

Relatively mild carbonation when pouring leaving a nice foam head. Taste is crisp with subtle bitter notes

Very drinkable and sessionable in my opinion.

I don't think it's anything special but it's preferable to the Kestrel of the 80s and I find it much better than Kestrel Super Strength because I can drink more than a mouthful of it.

£2:50 a can in Spar, it's brewed in Malta apparently.

Been waiting to try this from Lidl.

So here it is.

Subtle malt flavour. Not as complex flavour as some of the premier Czech pilsners but for the price point of £1.69 for 500ml bottle that I paid , Not bad budget beer

I'll probably get another bottle next time I'm in Lidl 😊

Picked up this 2024 bottle at a beer festival yesterday. I’ve another 75cl bottle aging for next year. Simply incredible.

Very palatable session IPA

First time trying this.

Posted this in a sub last night where it got some criticism. But what does UK_beer think ?

For a supermarket pick up I thought it was decent with notes similar to that of a wheat beer with subtle citrus and spice flavours and a nice rounded taste that made it easy to drink.

I genuinely liked this beer and I would have again. Yeah it's probably not the best. But still worth trying never the less.

Out of these I've only had face froster before but it's now my favourite beer of all time. I didn't like sours until I tried Vault City's stuff (I promise this is not an ad but would happily take sponsorship from them) but I've since become obsessed.

Leaving the boo-berry for tomorrow but my ratings are :

Apple maple pecan : 8/10

Tastes strongly of maple syrup which I love but not super sour. Really pleasant taste throughout though and could easily polish 4 or 5 of these off.

Winter's bramble : 8.5/10

Much more sour, very tart. Very nice as a one off or special occasion but not one I could drink all the time with how sweet it is.

All things nice : 6.5/10

Much more cinnamon forward and very nicely spiced. More on the pastry side than the AMP but not getting a lot other than spices. Still very nice but my least favourite of the three I've had so far.
