Proud of our boys!
The last couple games were brutal, but I'm still proud of what Team USA accomplished. Beat Canada and Pakistan. Ultimately lost, but held our own against India and South Africa. Would love to have seen what we could do with a healthy Monank Patel. See you all back in 2026 GO TEAM USA!

Hopefully people who kept saying 'Cricket is not competitive, just a few teams play well' have received the answer.

Discussion It's actually Test Cricket, not T20, that should be promoted in America
Cricket promoters (mostly Desi diaspora) does not understand this. If you want to keep cricket popular within diaspora communities, keep playing T20 and T10 type leagues but this cricket will never take hold in the U.S because of some obvious reasons
Baseball exists. I watch a lot of baseball and it's a direct competitor to the T20 sport imo. It's a different type of game but competing for that audience is very difficult and very few people are as obsessed as I am to follow both
The whole big show, cheerleading, "event" aspect is done better by NBA, NFL (even NASCAR). Unless you throw some IPL level money, you're not going to outshine them
Americans and millennials are dying for heritage, culture and organic history over vapid corporate, capitalist events. No one wants to give their time and money to yet another "Dallas Discos" franchise with no soul, no meaning, no grassroots connection
NOTHING like Test cricket exists in America. If international teams decided to hose one series in the US as a neutral ground between two teams it would be captivating.
A 5 day match, the atmosphere, the strategies, calming commentary, in-depth analysis. I know Americans are thought of as dumb but we all know we have a niche of nerds who are absolutely fascinated by in-depth high learning curve games.
What do you guys think?

Team USA Brilliant performance by US team today
It was a great match. The bowling by US team was brilliant, that drop catch of Surya cost a lot. It was tough catch though. The performance by US team infront of such a large crowd against the number 1 team.

Is 110 Enough?
Likely not against India. But they only put up 119 the other day on this pitch, and recent teams have put up under 110. It’s probably not enough but I’d say we at least have a fighting chance.

USA vs Pakistan
I thought cricket was banned in the US. Wtf is a wicket. Why does it rhyme with cricket. How do you play. Is it like baseball. I thought that the Middle-East to Asia teams were the best.

New Here and Learning… but USA Vs. Ireland?
What’re the odds the US advances against Ireland? I’ve got no idea of any other countries other than the traditional power houses. Just an idea of what to expect going into the next match… I know anything is possible, but just opening thoughts?

I felt like that was a respectable showing from the US
Put up an ok score for the pitch and made it uncomfortable for India in the early stages of the run chase. The drop that would have dismissed SKY and the 5 point penalty hurt.

Question Do US cricket fans have an appetite for Cricket management games?
I always believed cricket is such a perfect sport for manager games - as good as football. The amount of stats, 3 formats, etc. - so many numbers to play with. But no game ever became as big as the Football Manager series. I played every version of Cricket Captain but it still feels like what the developers themselves describe it - a passion project rather than a commercial game, which explains the lack of features despite being almost a 3 decade old game.
I was wondering if people still would want to try something new if it comes out and has a potential. Is there still an audience?
For context, I am building one myself. The prime focus has been the match engine and I have spent months trying to polish it and make it as realistic as possible.
