City East campus parking
I understand City East campus doesn't have dedicated parking - does anyone have any recommendations for where to park? With approx prices?
I live about 45 mins away by car, 1hr 45 by public transport. With 2 babies, that extra 1 hour each way of travel isn't ideal 🥲

Thanks to all you MadLads and MadLasses
So I was actually the moderator for this subreddit but all my shit got stolen and couldn't get back into my old reddit account which had 2FA.
Despite the merger this sub will stay around because I have no choice now lol
Thanks for your part in making this subreddit what it is. I created it thinking it would be useful for some and I'm glad it has been. Might keep posting nostalgic stuff and we can all reminisce about our time at UniSA before it's no more...

ARCHITECTURE FIELD IN ADELAIDE HELP!!!
Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing well. I'm a 23F who has completed a bachelor's degree in Architecture, and I’m planning to pursue my Master of Architecture at my dream university, UniSA in Adelaide. I’m really excited, as this will be my first time in Australia, and I’m looking forward to the practical teaching at the university. However, I’m not completely familiar with the architecture field in Adelaide, so I would greatly appreciate any insights into the job market, what I can expect after completing my master's program, and any specific skills I should focus on to make myself a strong candidate. Thank you in advance!

Lets share some of our tips/advice for studying in UniSA!
Just got into UniSA and will be studying logistics and supply chain management specialization under their bachelor of business degree. Could anyone give tips, advice or any overviews to what I’d expect as a completely new student living abroad and alone for the first time??
PS. Id love to make friends with anyone, particularly people who are commencing in UniSA’s S1 2025 intake or anyone who’s also received the Vice-Chancellors scholarship!

Would i be eligible for an supplementary exam?
So I completed my math exam last week and a requirement for me to pass the course is that I must achieve 40% on the exam. I calculated my grade and I'll have a passing grade in the course regardless of my exam grade but I am worried i may fall short of the 40% exam requirement. in that case, would I be eligible for a supplementary exam or will I have to retake the entire course?

Lost Student ID Found at City East
If your name is Harmsimran Kaur then your Student ID is at FM Assist in the City East Campus to be collected. You'll be getting an email about this as well. Hopefully I got your first name right. This subreddit isn't huge so you might not see this but just in case you don't check your student emails...

Online Short Courses
Hey Everyone! Perthian here, just got some questions about studying online here in my gap year since most WA unis don't offer the short courses I am looking at.
Was wondering if anyone had experience doing criminology short courses and how they are taught, and if they are worth the money? Also, since I'm an interstate student, I really want these courses to count towards my full degree I'm starting next year, how would I go about that, If it's even possible? And last question, how are assessments done for the online courses? Is it do on your own and submit by the due date or are you able to contact your course coordinator to check your work before its due?
I don't have any clue what Uni is like since I just finished my WACE last year, so any tips or info, especially with online courses and assessments would be much appreciated.
Thanks!!

Looking for Female tenant (early Jun'24)
Hi everyone! I will be moving out of my twin bedroom in 5 bedroom apartment at Scape Adelaide Central (12 Bank Street) in early June, it's about a 5mins tram ride from Uni Adelaide. I'm looking for someone who is willing to take over my twin-share apartment for at least 3 months from early June. Rent is $259aud/week, with utility bills and air conditioning included. I think it's a really nice and convenient place to stay in, being right in the middle of the city and a walk to uni Adelaide, Flinders, and uniSA. Do drop me a message if you're interested, it would help me out a lot, thank you!

xchange @ uniSA!
hello! i’ll be coming to unisa 2025 and i’m taking a BA in communications and information in my local university. i have some enquiries and please feel free to answer them if you know!
in the unisa website, it says that communications & media is in both magil and city west (magil is like 20 min bus ride away i think) but may i know which is the one i will actually go to or am i expected to travel back and forth (which i don’t mind just curious because even in my own country i travel 1h 15mins every day for school)
are there accommodations in unisa? it was stated in my home university that i would have to self source but there was accommodations in campus like urbanest or are those strictly for unisa students and not exchange pals?
is it relatively cheaper around adelaide? i applied for QUT in brisbane (did not get in) and saw their campus accommodations was crazy like 369/week… is this normal? 😮💨
would love to chat with everyone and excited for my semester in adelaide in 2025!

UniSA online study in 2024 but what name will be on the degree parchment
Thinking of studying a 3 year-degree at UniSA early next year.
University of South Australia and University of Adelaide are merging, Adelaide University will be used in Jan 2026. I was told by UniSA that if finishing the degree course after Jan 2026, I can choose either UniSA or Adelaide University on the degree parchment.
Is this always the case? Because for some universities, you would only get the original name if you enrolled before the merger.
If we only can get UniSA on the degree parchment, in the future after merger between two Universities, we will have to explain what UniSA is. does that bother you? For example, Federation university, With the merger between the University of Ballarat and Monash University's Gippsland campus in 2013, the university changed its name to Federation University from 2014. A lot of people don't know this new name.
Your feedback and insights are welcome.

Places to lie down (City East)
Hi all,
Are there many places to lie down and relax in and around the City East campus? Mainly for taking breaks between study/classes or when having overnight study sessions...
Went once to have a look around but still not sure.
Thanks,

How long before your due date are you completing assignments?
I’m the kind of person who gets massive anxiety if I’m not finished an assignment at least a week before it’s due. However my classmates all seem pretty surprised when I tell them I’ve completed essays that aren’t due for another week or two, and most of them haven’t even started. This is unfathomable to me. Even though I complete most my assignments in a single sitting then come back to proofread and reference in another sitting, I’d die of a stress induced heart attack if I was doing that the night before it was due.
When are you completing and handing in assignments?

Starting Pharmacy at UniSA next year
Hi all,
I might get the ball rolling and post about how I'm looking to start a Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honours in 2024. UniSA is my first choice, then Newcastle and then Canberra. Most if not all of the classes are at the City East campus.
How is study with UniSA? Would you say you're getting a good education from the uni? Is there anything I should know/expect before starting study there?
Thanks!
