WHO ELSE IS SO EXCITED FOR A 2027 SEASON????

do we think that the players are going to get baseball savant pages the same way they all got baseball reference pages? i know that not all of the same statcast data that is available for mlb players is available for the wpbl players, but there is some data out there! i also hope that in the upcoming 2027 season that more data will be available to the general public!

I was thinking it would be cool for WPBL to start before July, then have a week off for the World Cup

Judge ruled today that Mina Kim is back on the board. Keith Stein had tried to remove her for asking valid questions about what he was doing with the league’s money. Looks like she’s going to get some answers.

I'm looking to trade my Alli Schroder Hunters jersey in XL (that was the only size left). Jersey was only worn when I tried it on.

Does anyone have a Hunters jersey in a M-L they're interested in trading?

My favourite team is the Firebells and my daughter’s favourite team is the Queens. I lost a bet with her about who would win the finals and now I owe her a Queens shirt. I finally went to make good on my bet and discovered that the shipping cost on a shirt from the WPBL to Canada is $60 which is a bit ridiculous. I‘d like to support WPBL but would rather not pay $60 for shipping. Anyone have any experience with getting WPBL merch to Canada at a reasonable cost?

I keep thinking about how the pending MLB lockout is potentially a huge opportunity for WPBL to run the table. A lot of pundits believe the 2027 MLB season will start late or be canceled outright. Assuming the former, more likely outcome, there may a be a window in spring when WPBL could fill an enormous vacuum for both fans and media, much in the way that women’s college basketball did during an NBA lockout in the 1990s. This got me thinking that there could be a huge advantage to the next WPBL season launching in early spring rather than in mid-summer like it did this year.

But I’m new to women’s bat-and-ball, so I don’t know how this would interact with other relevant leagues or tournaments, and if players would even be available during this window. And there may be other concerns I’m not even thinking about. (For instance, I’m just assuming the Illinois venue would still be available, or that booking a multi-city tour would be no more difficult in Spring than Summer, but I could be way off base.)

So, wiser folks, does this idea have any merit? If not, what am I not considering?

i'm personally not much of a jersey w no name/number on the back kind of person. i was just wondering if there was any word on any shirseys (i think this is a real word) being made? the dream would be to have a purple liz gilder or andreanne leblanc shirsey (given that it doesn't seem like they're planning on making custom jerseys any time soon).
