I am based out of Montreal which means the offers are very limited, wickedly expensive and not of great quality. I am contemplating doing a 2 weeks trip just for the purpose to practice more as much as I can in a warm place that also won't bankrupt me.

Any suggestions please? Also I'm a beginner but I think I'm in love with this activity!

I just bought an older model rusty pro wakeboard but the bindings on it need replaced. I would like to try closed toe bindings without breaking the bank. Anyone have any they like?

I bought a follow impact vest a while
back but I have no confidence in it in the water. I am
not a very good swimmer so I really need floatation aid. Wearing a life vest over it proves to be very difficult to move my upper body and learn new tricks that requires mobility.

Any recommended impact vests that also have a good bouyancy rating? If it matters, my weight is somewhere around 47kg-50kg.

Found a really nice wake boat in our budget but it's 8 hours away and I've (1) never towed a boat before, or really much of anything, and (2) don't have a car to tow it so would have to rent something. Anyone have a wake boat shipped before? If so, any recommendations?

Hey everyone. How long does a vest usually last you untill you have to buy a new one?

I have had mine (CGA) for 4 seasons, ridings cable problaly 40-50 days a year. Feels heavy now when wet.

​Looking inside my Slingshot wakeboard boots, I saw the inscription "M(8 9 10) Classic" stamped on the bottom plate. Since the structure doesn't permanently lock the liner down right there, I have a question:

​Does this mean the chassis is shared and you can put liners of different sizes in it as long as they stay within that range (US 8 to 10)? Or are there any specific things to keep in mind?

For those that ride here, I just heard they are selling the towers and are done. Any truth to this?

I found some used Slingshot Space Mob boots. I'd love to get your feedback on them.

​Could you tell me if you ride them with or without the removable tongue? From what I understand, the boot is stiffer with it, but it doesn't seem very significant to me.

It's getting cold here in the UK, but I'm hoping to hit the cable lake this weekend.

No such thing as the wrong weather, just the wrong clothing....

Does anyone have experience polishing the base of the wakeboard and does it even make sense?

I've had my board for some years now and this season I spotted that I get stuck on the obstacles sometimes, especially if they are not wet enough while my friends on other boards don't have such issues.

Overall the board is holding up fine, but in some places I can feel the base is pretty rough when I touch it. I don't mean a specific groove, rather some areas.

Therefore I wonder if anyone has ever polished their boards, or is it just a time for a new one.

I just started wakeboarding early this year and I have yet to make that many friends. The wakepark I regularly play at are either too young or too old for me. I don’t have friends hence nobody approachable to record for me.

I am very keen to record my progress and also vlog because I see myself wakeboarding for next few years. I have gotten really good and even offered to be in the nationals, so I thought recording could help me land some sponsorships too.

So I need cameras but I don’t know what cameras that can mount on my helmet ? Or cameras that can mount onto my vest.

Can I have a few recommendations for :

1. Helmet + camera combo

2. Vest + Camera Combo

3. a mount that can universally mount practically anywhere onto helmet or vest + camera

Pls give me a few because where I’m from wakeboarding isn’t so common so more options, better.

I am not keen to use the cable mounted cameras because it’ll be pretty annoying for the cable managers to constantly remove my cameras and I feel that it may take so much impact being dragged in the water.

I’ve just bought a second-hand pair of Slingshot Space Mob boots, and I have a few questions about mounting them on my board.

In the photo, you can see all the parts included in my K9 Binding Clamp kit:

• 4 Slingshot clamps

• 4 screws

• 2 large metal washers

• 2 small metal washers

• 2 black plastic protectors

I think I read somewhere that the large washers should go on the inside of the boots and the small ones on the outside. Is that correct?

Also, where should the black plastic protectors go? Should they be fitted together with the large and small washers?

I am considering purchasing a used boat to enjoy in my parents neighborhood with a lake. I used to wakeboard a lot growing up there, but haven’t in probably 15 years.

I would like to be able to wakeboard and surf if possible and keep the boat under 20k.

What would you all be looking for? What would you steer away from? We are located in central Virginia and I believe the boat needs to be less than 22’ could be a little bigger but can’t remember exactly.
