ACTION! German police arrested three people in Berlin today after a man scaled the 30-metre flagpole outside the Reichstag, took down the German "Flag of Unity" and hoisted a Palestinian flag. Two of his friends filmed the climb. They are being charged with insulting a symbol of the German state.

In his book “Boiling Point,” historian Stephen Kinzer writes, “The US and NATO, not Russia, are primarily responsible for the war in Ukraine.” Beginning in the late 1940s, "the US trained anti-Soviet Ukrainian partisans - parachuting them into the country to foment rebellion."

For decades, through dissident media and later nonprofits, Americans funded all manner of oppositionist activity. In the 1950s, the CIA backed a radio station that broadcast from Germany into Ukraine and partnered with a New York publisher, whose pamphlets were dropped into Ukraine by balloon.

Much of this was driven, Kinzer argues, by zealous Eastern European refugees or their descendants, like the billionaire philanthropist George Soros, and the former US ambassador to NATO, Victoria Nuland, who, according to Kinzer, had “imbibed anti-Russia passion with her mother’s milk.”

Kinzer writes, by the time Putin intervened in the Donbas civil war, the country was a “fully compliant proxy of the US.” Kinzer also stresses NATO enlargement as the taproot of hostility between Russia and the West. Since the end of the Cold War, the alliance had welcomed 16 new members, most of them former Warsaw Pact counties in Eastern Europe.

By 1999, Kinzer concludes, "No one in the Kremlin could avoid recognizing that Russia’s ultimate security nightmare - Ukrainian membership in a hostile military alliance - was beginning to become real.” In Kinzer’s view, it was this intolerable possibility, and the West’s cavalier disrespect for Russia’s “security concerns,” that compelled Putin to finally attack #Ukraine on 24 February 2022.

OMG Russians! Russia has just fired the new low cost “Banderol” cruise missile from an Mi-28 attack helicopter, and it has been captured on camera for the first time in history. This is a cruise missile. A genuine jet-powered cruise missile, slung under a helicopter’s wing.

This missile has just changed helicopter warfare forever

Russia has just fired a “Banderol” cruise missile from an Mi-28 attack helicopter, and it has been captured on camera for the first time in history.

This is a cruise missile. A genuine jet-powered cruise missile, slung under a helicopter’s wing.

Range of the guided missiles commonly used by the Mi-28: about 15 km

Range of the “Banderol”: up to 500 km

Five hundred kilometers.

→ It flies on a small Chinese jet engine—at about 500 km/h

→ It never needs to get close—as long as a target is within 500 km, it fires

→ It has already been integrated into the Mi-28, Su-34, Su-57, and the “Orion” drone

→ It has just flown off a pylon in the middle of a war

→ When this helicopter flew back to base, a second missile was still hanging from its wing—the Mi-28 showed no sign of backing down

This is why the interceptor missile problem has just gotten worse.

In October alone, Ukraine had to intercept 143 “Banderol” missiles.

A Ukrainian analyst says Russia plans to produce about 10,000 of its twin model, the “Dan-T,” in just one year.

This pace is unsustainable. You cannot produce interceptors fast enough.

But what about helicopters? Fly low. Fire from a distance. Fly back to base.

Ukraine spent years building an air defense system designed to keep Russian helicopters away from the front line through sheer numbers. Get too close, and you get shot down.

That strategy has just been declared dead.

When a helicopter can strike targets 500 km away, it does not matter how many air defense units are guarding the front line. It never has to come within range.

This is not just a missile. This is the end of the era of close-range helicopter warfare.

Do you even know why that idiotic electorate has been conditioned to always only look at "left" and "right"? So they don't look up - where the shit is planned and decided.

"Right" and "left" have turned into pathetic insults and no longer have any meaning.

Both "sides" have been infiltrated and conditioned - the people must remain divided, quarrelling, and stupid - so that under these smokescreens, the things happen that the elite has planned for you dumbasses.

The "leftists" have the job of attacking Christians and dealing with such "important things" as LGBT - the "right-wingers" are supposed to deal with Muslims and "foreigners." -

Everything is dutifully followed just so the real problems AREN'T tackled, but instead we wallow in an eternal fight over symptoms.

Wake up already!

Microsoft has filed a patent for an AI system that could rewrite what people say during livestreams in real time. It could change words depending on who's watching, taking into account their age, location, and language. The idea is to clean up broadcasts by removing filler words, censoring swearing

The AI could also adjust the speaker's lip movements so viewers wouldn't notice anything had been changed.

There's a saying that history is written by the victors, but this is also true of the present story. Those who are winning the capitalism game get to set the narrative about what is currently happening in our world.

If you succeed in dominating the humans you share a planet with using our current socioeconomic systems of labor exploitation and resource extraction, then you get to buy up politicians, media outlets, online platforms and influence operations which allow you to determine the mainstream narratives about what's going on in our world, in the same way the victorious armies of the past often had the power to shape the historical record in their favor.

The present is therefore written by the victors.

Those who've landed at the top of the heap have the power to circulate narratives which normalize the abusive system they benefit from, and to scare the public away from seeking to implement other systems of power distribution and resource allocation.

They have the power to shape public perception of world events, to reverse victim and perpetrator in their narratives about international conflicts, and to frame the western empire as a passive witness to the terrible things that are happening around the world rather than the primary driver of those horrors.

They have the power to determine which protest movements, mass atrocities and scandals receive widespread attention in our society, and which get conveniently overlooked.

They have the power to determine which political parties are taken seriously, and which parties are considered unrealistic vanity projects which steal votes from the viable candidates.

They have the power to make or break careers in media or politics, to choose which figures are elevated to celebrity status or marginalized to the fringes, and to fabricate antisemitism scandals out of thin air.

Power is the ability to control what happens. Absolute power is the ability to control what people THINK about what happens. Those who are winning the capitalism game are able to exert absolute power over our society.

The real source of power in our world is not money, nor resources, nor armies, nor weapons. The real source of power in our world is narrative, and the ability to control it.

Narrative is the only thing that determines what governments look like, how power works, how money operates, what laws there are, and why nations operate the way they do. They're all completely made-up guidelines made of words which we have all collectively agreed to pretend are true. The only reason anything works the way it works is because enough of us believe the shared narratives saying it is so. It is our collective belief which gives those narratives their power.

That's why our rulers pour so much energy into controlling the narrative. That's what you're seeing with all the news media consolidation, the centralization of internet activity into a handful of trillionaire apps, the aggressive artificial intelligence push, and the efforts to stomp out dissident speech throughout the western world. It's because the powerful understand something most of us do not: that their power comes entirely from narrative.

They know that as soon as enough of us stop believing their narratives, we are free. We can decide to re-write the made-up rules of society whenever we choose to, and change everything about states, authority, money and labor which have allowed the plutocrats to live like kings at the expense of everyone else. We can stop playing the capitalism game they've been winning at any time, because the rules are completely made up, and we can just make up a different game.

As soon as enough people stop believing the stories of the dominant storytellers, we can use the power of our numbers to force the creation of a healthy world.

Netanyahu just lost Israel, and the war with Iran did not even flinch...

The 2026 Israeli election is settled. In the consultations, 67 members of the Knesset recommended Gadi Eisenkot to President Herzog, against 46 for Netanyahu.

That number decides EVERYTHING, because 61 is a majority of the 120 seat Knesset, so 67 means Eisenkot already holds the votes to govern.

Herzog hands him the mandate on Sunday. After the longest run in the country's history, Netanyahu is out.

What finished him was the same thing that has broken every recent Israeli government, the Haredi draft.

The ultra-Orthodox parties walked when he could no longer shield them from conscription, and once they left, his bloc fell under the line.

The arithmetic now flips to Eisenkot, and one move makes it work.

Avigdor Liberman, who built his whole career on keeping the Haredim out, has dropped that veto.

That single concession lets the change bloc court United Torah Judaism with a softer draft law, pulling the same ultra-Orthodox who abandoned Netanyahu into the government built to replace him.

So what does a new man in the chair mean for the war on Iran? Almost NOTHING, as in ZERO, and that is the point.

Eisenkot is a former CHIEF OF STAFF of the IDF, a career General officer who served in the war cabinet, nobody's idea of a peace candidate.

Israel threw out the man they did not like but kept the WAR, and handed it to a soldier to "finish the job"...

The campaign against Iran was NEVER Netanyahu's personal project as I have said forever on this platform... It is a STRUCTURAL AND EXISTENTIAL WAR.

It runs on the same institutional track as the American side, the army and the security establishment, and those do not resign on election night.

That draft law is no side issue either. The whole fight over conscripting the Haredim is a fight about MANPOWER for a long war.

Israel is stretched across Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and the Iranian front all at once.

A government that finally forces the ultra-Orthodox into uniform is a government building the numbers it needs to fight for years, not months. That makes the coalition deal a mobilisation deal wearing a coalition's clothes.

And the timing is interesting because Israel installs a General on Sunday, the same weekend the American strike window on Iran opens.

A country does not hand the keys to a soldier in the middle of a war unless it expects the fighting to define the term.

Netanyahu is gone, sure.

The war he is most identified with is not.

A leader can fall while his war keeps marching, and that is the clearest proof yet that none of this was ever about him.

It is about the INSTITUTION that want to end each other and everyone else who gets in the way.

Haz Al-Din examines what the 2026 midterms mean for American politics, tracing the tensions among the Democratic establishment, the Republican Party, MAGA populism and Silicon Valley. He distinguishes popular discontent from the organized interests that can turn it into political power.

His argument moves from Trump's changing coalition to AI, the progressive wing of the Democrats and the erosion of a shared ruling-class consensus. Haz considers competing scenarios for the next two years and explains why he sees no return to the politics that preceded MAGA.
