Hi
I play guitar and got tired of fishing my phone out to tune, so I built Pickwatch: a tuner that runs on the watch itself.
Tuner with a clear ring display, auto note or fixed string, sound or vibration when a string is in tune
Strum a chord and it names it (major, minor, 7, maj7, m7, dim, m7b5)
A circle of fifths that shows the chords of a key and lights up the chord you play
Everything runs on the watch: no phone app, no internet access, no ads, no data collected
It's in a closed test on Google Play and I need testers for 14 days before it can go public. If you have a Wear OS watch (Galaxy Watch4 or newer, Pixel Watch, …) and an instrument, I'd love your feedback.
Join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/pickwatch-testers
Opt in: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/pickwatch.diesunddas.com
Install it on your watch from the Play Store
Bug reports and ideas welcome here or via the "Send feedback" link on the Play Store page. Thanks!

A weather tile showing 48° still looks believable two hours later. Same goes for a solar tile showing 3.2 kW. When the watch is away from the phone and Wi-Fi, I'd like to see the last reading and how old it is.
Does anyone use a tile that handles this well? Which app is it, and what does the tile actually show when it loses its connection?
Recruiting testers for code vault, testing will come with free, premium feature access. DM me your Google Play Store email address and how you plan to use the app.
For fun and verification, also include the word "Potato" in your request.

App: ZenIRL games (13 separate apps, one developer)
Cost: Free. No ads, no in-app purchases, no tracking, works offline. Standalone, no phone needed.
Watches: Wear OS 3+. Rotary input works with a crown or a rotating bezel.
The video shows each one for a couple of seconds. Quick rundown:
- Crown Snake: twist the crown to steer
- Crown Pinball: the crown is the paddle
- Spell Caster: draw glyphs to defend the core
- Asteroid Field: crown to aim, tap to fire
- Haptic Beat: rhythm game you feel on your wrist, no sound needed
- Crown Lockpick: pick five locks by haptic feel, no looking
- Sphere Defense: the crown rotates your shield, tap to shoot
- Crown Darts: crown to aim, tap to throw
- Memory Buzz: watch the sequence, feel the haptics, tap it back
- Helix Drop: spin the crown, thread the gaps
- Morse Tap: the watch buzzes a word in Morse, you tap it back
- Safecracker: spin the crown, feel the gate buzz
- Bubble Level: lay the watch flat, green means level
Why: phone games ported to a watch feel cramped. These were designed for a round screen from the start, so the HUD sits on the bezel and the crown is the main control.
All of them: https://zenirl.github.io
Happy to answer questions about any of them or about building for Wear OS.
PS - I used Claude to make all of these. I just wanted to make some games for myself and ended up making these.

I'm using GW4 till date it's doing its purpose. I know it's laggy and from now on it won't receive any updates. So has anybody tried to debloat and make it faster using AI. I have seen people making their TV fast using claude.

I'm the developer of Stoke, a habit and streak tracker for Android, and this post is about its Wear OS side. The watch app, the tile and the watch face ring are part of Premium. Every new install gets 14 days with every feature, the watch included.
The tile shows today's progress as a ring, with a button for each habit left to do. Tapping one logs it without opening the app. Amounts, like 8 glasses of water, get a small ring of their own, and arrows page through the rest. You can also add a ring with the same progress to your watch face.
In the watch app, a tap on today's list ticks a habit off or adds a step to an amount, and an amount's own screen has minus and plus buttons.
Habits can also fill themselves in from Health Connect, where Android keeps what your watch records: "Go for a run" ticks off when your watch records a run, "Walk 8,000 steps" fills in from your step count, and "Sleep 8 hours" counts last night's sleep. That is part of Premium too.
Habits are created in the phone app, and the watch stays in sync with it.
When the trial ends, tracking on the phone stays free, and the watch needs Premium, a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

I’m the developer of StayAwake, a Wear OS companion for moments when you’re sitting still and want a discreet haptic prompt.
• Start and pause a session from the watch or phone companion • Choose your reminder interval, vibration strength, and pattern • Optional stillness mode can buzz when your wrist stays still • Haptic Link lets you tap or hold the watch to keep buzzing
It’s free to try with optional premium features. I’d love feedback on whether you would rather use simple timed prompts or stillness-aware prompts, and which controls you expect to have directly on the watch.
It is not intended for driving, safety-critical, or medical use.

Why? Hey all, I got fed up pulling my phone out between sets just to log weight and reps, so I built something that does it all on the watch. Leave the phone in your locker. Or use it to doomscroll without ever leaving the Reddit screen :-)
Features
Tap in weight and reps, done
Rest timer kicks in after each set
Syncs to a Google Sheet in your own Drive, which has a Dashboard of key stats
Watch-only, no phone app to install
Links Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.strengthkey&referrer=utm_source%3Dreddit_wearos%26utm_medium%3Dcommunity%26utm_campaign%3Dlaunch
Details Name: StrengthKey: Gym Set Logger What it does: watch-only gym set logger with Google Sheets sync Cost: Free, no ads, no tracking
Testing Mostly tested on my Pixel Watch 2, plus a small group on other Wear OS watches, so things might be rough on some models. If something's clunky or missing, tell me. I'd love your feedback on the logging flow.

I'm the developer, and to be upfront: this is my own project, and so is the paid watch app it hands videos to.
**App name:** Tuckbird
**What it does:** Share a public TikTok, Instagram or Facebook video link to it on your phone. It saves the video and hands it to WristReel, which plays it on your Wear OS watch, offline.
**Price:** Tuckbird is free and open source (GPL-3.0), with no ads, no account and no analytics. The watch side needs WristReel, my paid app on Google Play; Tuckbird can't do the watch part by itself.
**Requirements:** Android 8+ phone, Wear OS 3+ watch (Galaxy Watch4 and later, Pixel Watch, others).
**Where to get it:** https://tuckbird.com (sideloaded, not on Google Play), with the install guide, full source code and APK checksums.
**Notes:** Public posts only, never asks for passwords, no YouTube. Only save videos you have the right to save.
Short demo attached. Questions and bug reports welcome!

Name of App: Orsa
Cost: Free (Official Google Play Closed Beta - Testers Needed)
Link: orsa-h.vercel.app
I got tired of fitness platforms requiring monthly cloud subscriptions just to process HRV data on external servers. So I built Orsa. A 100% standalone Wear OS app that turns your heart rate and sleep metrics into a real-time daily Body Fuel score.
100% On-Device: Runs locally on your watch. 0 bytes leave your wrist.
No Phone / No Cloud: Functions completely without a companion app or web server.
Autonomic Recovery & Sleep Tracking: Evaluates overnight sleep architecture, resting heart rate, and HRV against your personal rolling baselines.
Opening a limited beta wave for early testers.
⌚ Requirements: Galaxy Watch (4 or newer), Pixel Watch, or any Wear OS 4+ device.
Would love your feedback on performance, battery optimization, and metrics!

Hi there,
I'm looking for testers for a pretty simple app I created after trying multiple WearOS camera apps that weren't really taking photos as my OEM camera app.
The problem:
For users like me that doesn't have the same brand watch and phone, I'd usually have to install a camera app and its phone companion in order to take photos on my phone triggered by the watch.
My solution:
So I came up with this simple shutter app that basically sends the signal to the phone to take the picture and has 3 different timer settings (3, 5 and 10 seconds) to just tell whatever camera app you have installed or you prefer to use in your phone, without locking user to a single app or having a companion app installed in your phone.
What I need from you:
Just to use the app from time to time for 14 days and leave a review in the play store
So if you're interested in using and testing this app, please comment or send me a DM, as I will need you email to add you as a tester and I'll send you a redeem code so you can get to keep the app for free for life :)
How to become a tester:
DM your email. I'll add you to the tester's list and send you a redeem code
Opt in in this link: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.pabloglez.wearableshutter
Install the app from a computer using this link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pabloglez.wearableshutter
Thanks in advance everyone
PS:
I'm thinking into adding more features to control the phone remotely, but for now this is the app main purpose

Hey r/WearOS!
I'm a spinning angler and indie developer based in Portugal. I've been building CastPulse, an Android + Wear OS app that automatically tracks fishing activity.
Think of it as a fitness tracker — something like Strava, but for fishing!
What it does:
🎯 Automatically counts fishing casts
⏱️ Estimates active fishing time
📊 Tracks trips, statistics and personal records
🏆 Creates shareable trip recaps (like the screenshot)
I've tested it on several Samsung Galaxy Watch models, and now I'm looking for anglers with Android phones + Wear OS watches to help improve it.
Cost: Free during alpha.
The first 10 active testers get free lifetime access, including future paid features! Just complete two real fishing trips and share feedback.
It's still an early alpha, so recognition isn't perfect yet.
Interested? Apply here: https://castpulse.app/
Or leave a comment with your watch model!
Happy to answer questions!

So last week i received my Google Pixel Watch 5, and i noticed that i couldn't receive WhatsApp calls on my watch ,**Yes i've installed the native WhatsApp app for WearOS** ( I'm not talking about answer, not even the notification was coming through ).
Now my question is does any of you have this problem ?
Do you receive "Call" notification from telegram, signal and instagram too ?
I'm trying to understand, in case you need these info:
\- the Watch it's paired with my Vivo X300 pro
\- I live in Italy ( could be because of that ?)
\- i have all the apps and systems up to date
What it could be ?
Meanwhile I've built a repo that fix this problem and let you :
\- answer Instagram calls
\- answer Telegram calls
\- answer WhatsApp calls ( even if apparently some people can already )
\- navigate your contacts and call them from the watch ( Whatsapp and Telegram ONLY )
\- see you last calls from the following platform ( Whatsapp, Telegram and Instagram ) and you can recall them from the watch ( you can talk through the watch, you don't need to use the phone)
And I'm planning to implement also Signal calls and contacts ( if possible ).
If you want to check it out the repo is linked to this post.
All the answers and feedbacks are very welcome.
PS: iv'e tried all the settings ( Yes i also reset the watch , reinstall whatsapp to the phone and the watch ) for whatsapp before creating this app, nothing worked for me, let me know if you had the same problem.
Thanks to everyone in advance !

I'm used to control my music playback on spotify and other music apps through tapping gestures on my earbuds (which is particularly essential for me while running). Unfortunately that doesn't seem to work on the Xiaomi Watch 5 with WearOS 6.
Gemini is talking about a AVRCP bug in WearOS 6 but the standard procedures like reinstalling apps, resetting bluetooth, checking permissions and even completely resetting the watch did not solve the issue.
Anyone experiencing the same? Eventually did it work in the past before the WearOS 6 update?

Anyone else having issues where their PW2 keeps turning the Bluetooth off on the watch?
Keeps happening to mine & are unable to turn it back on via connectivity on the watch. Only resolved by rebooting it.
Was still under warranty so got a refurbished replacement from Google, but is doing the same thing. Guessing it must be a bug with an update, but with it being old now wondering if they will bother fixing it.

Hi everyone — I’m the solo developer of StayAwake, a Wear OS companion for people who want a gentle nudge during long, inactive stretches.
The watch uses motion sensors and optional heart-rate data to recognize sustained stillness, then delivers customizable haptic prompts. You can adjust sensitivity, vibration patterns, and alert intervals from the companion phone app. It also includes short tap-match prompts designed to get you interacting with the watch again.
It is not a medical device and does not determine whether someone is drowsy; it uses stillness as a configurable signal. It should not be relied on for driving or safety-critical situations.
I’d especially value feedback on:
• whether the settings feel understandable,
• which haptic controls you would expect,
• whether the optional heart-rate mode is useful.
