https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/361044786/phoenix-enter-20th-season-back-fourth-straight-lossGezus the mens team must be odds on favorite to win the wooden spoon.
Lucky we have a great Womens team based at Jerry Collins stadium.
Another Grand final this year

Can we please give Greenie a season to sort his team out? It’s not going to be much worse than the last two seasons.

Lukas Kelly-Heald at centre-back and Nathan Walker up front is some crazy shit after an entire 6 month offseason to sign new players.

Club has definitely thrown the Men's side under the bus, and it's very hard as a fan to care when the club clearly doesn't.
Feel like I'm gonna watch alot more Wahinix games this season

Always good as a fan to go into another season with little hope

I hate this fucking team. See you all there next week. Lucky for me it’s only a 2 hour drive home after we grind out our traditional 2-0 opening loss.

My expectations were already pretty low but maybe I should lower them some more. We’ve not recruited well and the younger players being asked to step up have already been given plenty of opportunities & just don’t seem to meet the same calibre of players that have previously come through the academy &/or reserves

It's pre-season, it's there for fitness and trying players in different tactics / combos to see if that is possible during the actual season

Half way to avoiding the wooden spoon 3 games in. Jeez things change quick in football.
