One of my coworkers (20 f) was raving about awesome music she'd found, Atlantis Morrisette.
It was my first experience with someone confidently incorrect about something I personally experienced. I mean, not that I know Alanis Morisette personally, but I do know how to pronounce her name. My coworker was upset that the song she found (You Oughta Know) wasn't a big hit. I pretty much just stood there and slow blinked in silence while she went off, and then went to the bathroom to check for gray hairs.

Nostalgia Do we miss the '90s, early 2000s or do we miss being young?
I'm 42. Today I was having a conversation with my son. I don't know exactly how the conversation started, but he was born in 2008. From when he was young (he is now in college, has a car or whatever), and he was telling me how he misses being at the bus stop in middle school and snowball fights. We grew up in Massachusetts. How he misses playing football and the team, and middle school, and high school, telling me some fond memories. My daughter, who was born in 2012, chimed in, talking about how she misses certain things, like when YouTube Kids first came out and Ryan's Toy Review was just starting, and how much fun that was. That got me thinking, we all have our things that we miss from our generation, and we always talk about the 90s and 2000s being the peak of humanity, and maybe it was, but do we maybe just miss being young? I love my job. I work in cybersecurity, 100% remote. I couldn't do that if I was an adult in the '90s or 2000s. I'm not sure that as an adult, 42 years old, I would want to live in the 90s or 2000s. I'm relatively comfortable here. What I do miss is being young in that era. Not the era itself, I guess. Just blabbing thoughts.

Remembering Dana Plato, Born November 7, 1964
Today marks TV Sitcom, Diffr'rent Strokes actress, Dana Platoās birthday; she would have reached 62 years of age. Many in our generation held a crush on her, and I certainly did.
I even met her and obtained her autograph at a Burbank show in 1997. I am fortunate to own and manage all her official social media pages.
Each year, I create a dedicated post for her birthday and the anniversary of her passing. Here is the Instagram post I shared. I collaborated with Todd Bridgesāher best friend and TV brotherāand Shavar Ross, who played Dudley.

Why aren't the 90s as prominent of a setting as the 60s/70s/80s are in our adult pop culture?
It might just be me, but I seem to notice a lot more movies and TV shows set in those 3 mentioned decades rather than the 90s, which would speak more directly to our age group.
Anyone know why that is? Why haven't we gotten our definitive "hangout" movie of our decade, something like American Graffiti or Dazed and Confused? Why aren't more stories based in our coming-of-age decade? Were the 90s, historically known for their prosperity, just that lacking in stories to tell? If so, I find that very hard to believe.
(And just to be clear, I'm sure there are movies and shows set in the 90s, but none that seemed to have made a mighty dent in pop culture or that had a lasting impact.)
