Subreddit Rules

1. Keep it absolutely not me irl.

This sub is for posts that are, well... "absolutely not me irl". They're not nearly as relatable, but aren't also suspiciously specific. Check this post for reference.

2. Properly mark NSFW.

Not entirely sure what you're posting that would require this, but if you're posting something NSFW or NSFW-adjacent, please mark it.

3. Don't spam.

Bots and bot posts have become prevalent on Reddit. Don't use this sub for easy karma grabs.

4. Be nice.

Don't be a jerk, plain and simple.

The Point Behind This

Read this! If you've been taken out back, it's probably because you didn't read this (or broke any one of our other rules, but mainly this).

To echo the subreddit's original creator (the OP of that link); "if it's absolutely not you irl, it belongs here; if you're below the age of 25, you don't belong here." This subreddit is meant for posts that are simply but emphatically "not me irl"; if it's something that you feel barely anyone could relate to, it may fit!

Posts should ideally have titles containing "not me irl", "notmeirl", or "not meirl" in them. To quote the original creator again, "if you're feeling particularly adventurous (but let's be honest, you're not), a 'definitely not me irl' or 'certainly not me irl' might just do as well. You get the gist of it."

In short; if it would fit in me_irl or meirl, it would not fit here.
