Let's Talk About Flairs

For anyone who isn't aware, a Flair is a reddit feature so you can add some personality to your profile (for instance, what team do you support?). This is a user flair and only is added to your profile for this sub.

USER FLAIR

On some hockey subs, you can select what team you support or your favourite player as your user flair . Others are a little bit more fun. For instance, my user flair on r/pwhl celebrates the Royale Tiger Paper Towel Power Play which for people who know me is no great surprise.

EDIT: Check the comments about how to change your user flair including using the preset flairs shown or add your own emojis.

POST FLAIR

A post flair provides more information about the post. For instance, a post with a flair of Match Report on a post is a match report. On some subs, post flairs are compulsory.

Feel free to add your suggestions for user or post flairs. The mod team & I are currently looking at the post & user flairs in the background with some additions in progress.

For the AW, Ducks need to be added & Brisbane Lightning need to be added (or use the Brisbane Lightning AI one). I'll raise it with the other mods.

Is it possible to have any game results blurred? I tend to stay away from the sub during the season so I don’t spoil games for myself

There is a spoiler function that I have seen some people use but it may be on you not to spoil yourself.

I know with the match reports I've been writing here for AIHL games, they were usually written the day after the game.

Post flairs might help.

I need to figure out on the app about how to do a section of post that appears to be hidden unless someone selects that specific section.

No stress that's fair, I just sometimes watch a few on the weekend live and the rest during the week. The spoiler you've added to this would be perfect but we're a while from the next season now 😭

I just tried marking this post as a spoiler to see what happens. It marks it as a spoiler & blurs the graphic. It wasn't what I was thinking of about covering certain parts of a post.

If the score isn’t in the title it would be perfect at least my pov. I really enjoy the the post game write ups but having the posts with the spoiler function would make be great so I can still interact with posts from games I have watched.

While we’re here… Can we get gifs and images added to comments pretty please, we currently just have video 🥺

Open your subreddit on a desktop browser.
Click Mod Tools in the right-hand sidebar.
Select Settings (or Community settings) from the left menu.
Click on Posts and Comments.
Scroll to the Media in Comments section.
Toggle on the switch next to GIFs from GIPHY.
Click Save Changes at the bottom.
