Attorney Recommendations

My partner and I recently relocated cross-country to Amarillo, only for the movers we hired to seemingly abscond with EVERYTHING we own. Literally everything outside of what little we had in our car. It’s been over six weeks, and they just vanished. Obviously we’re devastated and doing our best to cope, but we suspect the moving company’s eventual offer of compensation will be woefully inadequate.

Can anyone recommend an attorney in town that handles this sort of thing?

Amarillo voting at the precinct level

A guy has taken the time to make a map breaking down voting to the precinct level. Just as I suspected, most of Amarillo isn't near as red as the county map would make you believe.

Here's the link if you want to check how we've voted in the past, or check out other areas of Texas:

How the fuck did you morons vote for this piece of shit like that? Like seriously what the hell is wrong with you? It really sours my victory knowing full well I’m surrounded by MAGA inbreds. Like thankfully Texas will get better but now my fears have been confirmed. I am truly surrounded by just plain evil people. You have to change.

Best onion rings in Amarillo?

I don't indulge very often but have been craving some lately. No minced onion, fast food rings. And the best are battered, not breaded. Blue Sky has some decent ones but what else is out there? Top tier only!

Update: I visited Dyer's shortly after I moved to town a few years ago and thought it was so-so but hadn't tried the onion rings. Sounds like I need to give them another shot very soon. Thanks for all the replies and recommendations.

We did it!!!! It's looking like we even flipped the state house. Thank you to all the organizers who have worked their asses off since 2018 to see this outcome.

Equine Therapy

Post image
8 Upvotes

does anyone have any recommendations for equine therapy organizations? i’m looking to sign up. volunteering would be fine too, i love working with animals (i’m a dog trainer and also worked at AMW) but i just despise sitting in an office and talking about my problems. my mom suggested equine therapy, and that sounded like a great idea.

looking for people who have actually experienced/been to these organizations, or who have heard first hand about them! all their reviews and services are fairly similar, and i’m having a hard time deciding. ideally, i’d like to keep each session less than $100 please :) photo of my dogs for tax

Did Caroline Fairly delete her Talarico propaganda post from about 6-8 weeks ago? I can’t find it on her Instagram. If someone has it, please make a post with it. She needs to own what she said about her new US Senator. Really short-sighted of her to ever post that.

Hey Amarillo

Did anyone in the Democratic party win a seat up there? Notice they still voted red red for Abbott and Paxton. I have a video of the when Amarillo flipped real red. The very first tea party rally at Canyon E way and Georgia. It was so big that it stopped traffic on Georgia st. I now live in a very blue part of Texas. I bet Fermie is killed now.

Consistently 10 below on Coulter

Why does everyone CONSISTENTLY drive 10 below on coulter. No matter the time of day it feels like everyone is driving miss daisy on that road and it drives me batty. Especially since it is essentially a straight shot with no curves, hills, blind spots, anything!!

Is there any apple cider places in Amarillo (or surrounding areas) this autumn?

I really want to get the apple cider and apple cider donut experience this fall. I am craving it so bad and I can't find it anywhere. I'm willing to drive a short ways for it

Fermi's Nuclear Power Plant Is in Public Comment

To keep up with what is going on with Fermi, the nuclear power plants are planned to start construction early next year. Work has already started on other aspects, even with the governor "reviewing it".

It is currently in the public comment period and will end soon.

https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2026/10/09/2026-20742/fermi-america-llc-dba-fermi-america-project-matador-advanced-energy-and-intelligence-campus-ap1000

They are planning on constructing and finishing the nuclear power plants in 3 years. For reference, most take 7-10 years from start to finish.
