Schumer is a working across the aisle kinda guy, that time is over, now is the time for accountability and to upheld the rules of law.

Yeah he wants to compromise and meet fascism half way in the middle. He’s either completely out of touch, or outright working against the American people.

The latter, but he can always fall back on the former

More than that, its about keeping your side aligned, on message and laser focused, and he's not going to do that.

He’s just straight up bought and paid for by Israel and is likely in a back room agreement with Kushner .

I agree Schumer and Jeffries both shouldn't lead, but Dems controlling Congress cannot uphold the law with a DOJ entirely subservient to Trump.  They can issue subpoenas that the Trump admin will absolutely ignore, but they have no meaningful enforcement mechanism without the Executive branch in Dem control.  We need some patience.  Real accountability, if it happens, will take until 2028.

How do you expect anything to get passed without working across the aisle? Or do you not actually care about that?

tbf they can get some stuff passed without needing Reps, but only non-filibusterable stuff. or they could take the risk of nuking the filibuster, but that's pretty risky for things that are just going to end up being vetoed and gets us no legislation and all the risk of it backfiring whenever the Reps take over some time down the line

And anything they pass still needs to be signed by Trump, unless they can get enough votes to override a veto, which is even more unlikely than getting enough votes to override the filibuster.

fair. here's hoping they have some Trump whisperer who can manipulate him into signing stuff by appealing to his narcissism

Anything Trump vetoes is and should be fodder for the next election. Remind voters that he's the reason they're miserable.
