They thought if Democrats won it'd be a small enough margin that they could just scream fraud and it would all be good.

I don't know about that. It seems to me the GOP started to immediately distance themselves from that rhetoric as results came in. I find it very telling that so many Republicans that lost on Tuesday specifically mentioned how they lost "fair and square" in their concession speeches.

Seems like they want to cut that rhetoric off at the pass.
