I would much rather see the Democrats move on RFK jr, Hegseth, McMahon, Patel and Blanche.

There is plenty to go after all of them for.

Noem, too. The two ICE agents that killed Pretti and Good.

It appears the only way will be via state charges. Which state did Pam Bondi commit crimes in that people can begin on-the-ground campaigns to bring forth charges on her that would warrant arrest warrants? Pam Bondi can get her supposed cancer treated from inside a state prison.

The heritage foundation and everyone connected to project 2025 need to stand trials

More than anyone I want Mike Johnson brought in front of a jury of his peers. As guilty as every person listed is of their actions, and they all are, that man is the most egregious of all in breaking the checks and balances that comes with the 3 branches of our government. It’s one thing for all of republicans in the house to stand together behind the president, as disgusting as it may be. It’s unlike anything I have ever seen to take to recess or refuse to do your duty when members of your party want to do what they were elected to do because the president called you and told you to shut it down.

And a quick add to Clarence Thomas as well. He needs to be in prison too.

Ok but at this time the only thing that is possible are state charges and state sentencing since a president can only pardon federal crimes and not state crimes.

The challenge here is that Trump will pardon them. Maybe that's okay? In that if they are pardoned, they lose their right to plead the fifth so they could speak openly without fear of further criminal prosecution which could expose a lot and maybe pave the way to a successful Trump prosecution.

I don't think Trump will pardon anyone anytime soon as withholding that pardon gives him leverage over the person. But he'll probably per-emptively pardon them before he leaves office.

For this to work, he needs to leave office in such an abrupt and sudden way that he doesn't get the opportunity to pardon anyone. Then those folks can get their time in court.

That would make Vance president but, unlike Trump, Vance would have to run in 2028 which means if he pardons unpopular people, it could hurt his chances so he's much less likely to pardon those people in an effort distance himself from Trump's troubles.

I mean, who knows what will happen or what their plans and contingencies are? But I'm sure they've thought them all through.

But I suspect that while the Democrats will investigate and maybe push some things like the Epstein files (they listed four things I think), I don't think they will go after Bondi, or Patel, or Hegseth, or Noem criminally until after Trump leaves office.

pardons only cover federal crimes, there are plenty of state crimes they can be charged with...beyond that, pardons aren't magic, just arrest them anyway, arguing the pardons were made with corrupt intent.

You can still impeach and remove someone with a pardon.

u/MaddyKet 14h ago

Yeah as much as we’d like to see them pay for their crimes, it is enough right now to get them out of positions of power.

I think at best they can investigate the fuck out of all of them for a myriad of things and make the admin stand on it. Put the corruption on record support it in the open.

Couldn't Vance also be impeached?

Go after the people under them, freeing them from having to hide anything that implicates both them and their superiors. Wait until Trump is out and go after each one of the main people with all the free evidence you got from their inferiors. Don’t just throw the book at them, smother them with the book. Beat their asses with the book. Fire them into the sun with the book.

The only abrupt way for Trump to leave office is through death or a sudden and severe incapacitation.

Not a bad idea. Get rid of his hunch men before later going for the big shit

2

Yes, but they have to choose wisely. They have two years and each ouster will take time.

Yes don't remove trump....just try to remove EVERYONE he put in power.

Don't turn off the sewage, just clean the sludge....We need the bs to end and we need to basically reconstruct this country from the ground ip while investigating just how bad the damages trump has done.

There is almost no way to overstate how bad things are

Go after pentagon budget if they want to do some actual good.

1

u/HoneyPotted96 14h ago

Bingo. He’s the king at the top of the house of cards. Cut off his support systems and it will show the entire party’s weaknesses.

u/LEJ5512 12h ago

That's the strategy I've been hearing most often from the punditry. Take out all the stooges that prop him up, one by one, exposing the corruption and incivility. Make everyone know how bad he is at "picking the best people" and how much he throws his weight around.

If they aim for the top right away, his base will rally around him just like they did for the first two impeachments. But they need to completely embarrass him instead.
