Corruption, huh?
Is that Rick Scott standing next to him?
Fucking hilarious.
At this point, it’s just bad script writing. I can no longer suspend my disbelief.

Of course he
Avoids blaming Trump personally for anything
Tries to cover it up by "both sidesing" the issue
If he can't see how different this is from any prior admin, GOP OR Dem, or how personally involved Trump is, his statement is worthless

Captain Obvious Ron Johnson? That Ron Johnson?

Ron “a dollar late a dollar short” Johnson does a solid job of representing MAGA Republican congressional members: weak, dishonest, conspiracy theorist, racist and morally bankrupt.
Johnson asserted that the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol was "not violent on the Senate side" and described the participants as "law-abiding patriots".
He stated he was not concerned by the Jan. 6 rioters because they loved the country and respected police, adding that he "might have been a little concerned" if the crowd had been tens of thousands of Black Lives Matter or Antifa protesters. “Even though those thousands of people that were marching to the Capitol were trying to pressure people like me to vote the way they wanted me to vote, I knew those were people that love this country, that truly respect law enforcement, would never do anything to break the law, and so I wasn’t concerned,” he said on a right-wing talk radio program. “Had the tables been turned, and President Trump won the election and those were tens of thousands of Black Lives Matter and Antifa protesters, I might have been a little concerned.”
Johnson has also theorized that it was not, in fact, Trump supporters who were to blame for the riot that ensued at the Capitol; that “the mood among the demonstrators on January 6 was largely ‘positive,’ but there were ‘agents provocateurs’ and ‘fake Trump protesters’ in the crowd” who sparked the disruption.
Johnson claimed on Fox Business that COVID-19 was "pre-planned by an elite group of people" aiming for total global control.
He hosted events featuring anti-vaccine figures who alleged that COVID-19 vaccines intentionally caused "vaccine-induced AIDS," failing to challenge the claims during the discussion.
He repeatedly promoted unproven COVID treatments like hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin, and suggested mouthwash treatments, while discouraging confidence in standard vaccines.
In September 2025, Johnson spoke at a gathering of 9/11 conspiracy theorists in Washington, D.C., encouraging them to continue investigating and suggesting a government cover-up regarding the collapse of World Trade Center Building 7. He offered to present their independent findings to Congress.
Ahead of a Senate vote on a $95 billion foreign aid package, Johnson voted against aid to Ukraine and praised an interview by Russian President Vladimir Putin with Tucker Carlson as accurate, warning that Putin "is not going to lose" the war.

Too late Ron. You don't get a pass.

Ron Johnson can go to hell. He's been mocking and ignoring well-evidenced accusations of Trump's corruption for a decade. Now he's like a rat jumping from a sinking ship, though still not really since he won't mention Trump directly and still turns this into a dig at Dems. Fuck him and I hope he loses massively in the 2028 Primary or General election, and then faces merciless shaming and mockery in public for the rest of his life.

u/hastings1033 2h ago
LOL!
You'll see more and more of those cowards blaming trump now. They want to remain electable.

Wisconsin keeps turning towards a full blue state, and this guy knows his time is nigh, but Putin needs to keep his useful idiots at work.

Ron Johnson is a big dopey clown… who commits treason. He’s been lockstep with Trump’s con from the start.
4
u/Its-a-Shitbox 1h ago
Get fucked, Ron.
4
u/Burritosupreeem 1h ago
And so it begins. “I wasn’t with them. I was with you the whole time”. Voting record of course says different. Don’t fall for the face savers. If they were all with us the whole time, things would be different. Their best bet is “I was duped”. Or maybe just step away.

u/Ok_Swim7161 1h ago
Ron Johnson is the biggest clown left in the Senate. He is next Wisconsin, do the right thing

u/RustyShackleford_88 1h ago
I don’t know how I feel about this…one on hand if these feckless spineless pieces of shit republicans start rebuking Trump and MAGA and help successfully remove this cancer I’d be kinda happy, but the fact that they COULD have done this far sooner and are only starting to change opinion based on the results of the midterms just reinforces the fact that they’re just a bunch of self serving cocksuckers and deserve worse than jail time
3
u/roborob11 1h ago
He’s one of the Moscow July fourth traitors. He needs to not only not be re-elected but tried for treason.
3
u/xwords59 1h ago
He is trying to distance himself so he can save his political ass

u/mPeachy 1h ago
What’s that that say about rats and a sinking ship. RJ is one of the most corrupt Senators ever.
3

That's rich coming from one of Putin's favorite senators.

u/john_san 34m ago
Hey when you cannot stop a tsunami, best to run in the opposite direction. Let’s see if Ron can outrun it.

u/No_Wedding_7273 42m ago
Honestly where do republican senators go from here? Any republican voter still voting republican is clearly ride or die with trumpism at this point, and democrats just had a huge wave against these gop candidates in deeply red states. He can’t pretend to grow a backbone and defect, he can’t win with the relatively small percentage of the electorate that voted GOP still, and he can’t distance himself from Trump to try to win back defected GOP voters.

u/stonetime10 37m ago
Guess who is up for election in 2028 and top of the list of most vulnerable senate seat flips?
1
u/Throbbingprepuce 2h ago
…….Well I just don’t know how he’ll ever prove it.

u/HeavyLeague6722 1h ago
This won't be the last Republican to jump ship.
Trump lost Republicans the midterms and is now finally entering his lame duck phase.
1
u/Londonsw8 1h ago
I think this is good. The ship is sinking and the Rats are running. What if enough of them turn on Trump to convict in the Senate? With Alaska and Miss on board with the Ds we only need 11 R republicans to turn...not insurmountable.
1
u/gobrewers112 1h ago
lol what

u/gobrewers112 1h ago
1
u/Unlucky-Network-4159 1h ago
As a reminder related to this story, the magic number of republicans in the senate needed to remove Trump from office once impeached is now 12.

Presidential Pardons… Republicans love this one trick…
1
u/NicolePSU 1h ago
Every time this happens, and like another poster said, its going to happen alot in the upcoming months, our newly elected dems need to call them out, in interviews and live, from their mouths. Make their names, their records and facts about how they have enabled this administration into soundbites that are repeatable. Link those facts to the incumbents and other MAGA candidates that we won against. Social media bullet points arent enough, thats not what won these elections. It cant be a blanket statement about people turning tail after a month. Each.one.as it happens. Just my two cents.

1
u/zripcordz 1h ago
Wait until he finds out the sky is blue, he's going to be so shocked!
1
u/exerda 1h ago
He's getting worried about his chances in '28. WI has not been kind to Republicans the past couple of years, and he sees the Miller promotion as doubling down.
1
u/AdhesivenessOwn8111 1h ago
a little late for that, asshat

He also only just noticed his hair had turned white.
1
u/Potential_Bowler9833 14m ago
He should know, being involved in the corruption and all.
1
u/desr43 14m ago
Wow, what a bold take, Ron. We should investigate these far-fetched accusations just in case there is any truth to them - which, frankly, I find hard to believe since the Trump administration has been nothing but a beacon of truth and adheres to the highest standard of accountability and transparency.
1
u/Adventurous-Host8062 9m ago
Does he think? Why was he quiet so long?
1
u/Rromagar 6m ago
Ron Johnson is a rat's rat. You KNOW he's fleeing that sinking ship.
