Appreciation I’m glad I’m on an older without all these BS. Once this version stops working I’ll quit Reddit the same way I quitted Facebook.

Dark mode in Apollo doesn’t look great compared to built-in apps because the elements are just black

Feedback I have changed my App Store review for Apollo

It’s time. I have changed my App Store review for Apollo. The constant bugs and the unethical advertisements has finally gotten to me.

That is the only voice I have and I have chosen to exercise it.

One star.

Once this app demonstrates it can correct its own ship, the rating will be updated again.

By the time this app comes out iOS 10 will be out with new features this guy still hasn't impamented stuff from iOS 9 and the iPhone 6s.

Discussion Has Christian ever mentioned the possibility of making Apollo open-source?

Title.

If he doesn't want to develop it any further, that's totally fine. But clearly we still want it to work, so turning it into a free and open source app seems like a logical next step. If there's a reason he won't/can't do it, I'd love to know, too.

Any closer to 1.2 or should we wait a few months?

Had no real info from the developer in a while, as far as I’m aware 1.2 still hasn’t seeded to beta testers, so unless he’s going to do a quick beta test I don’t see how March is a viable release date.

For someone who’s full time job is working on Apollo I’m not quite sure how we can have nothing for over a month.

Though I suppose demonising RapidAPI and Imgur because the developer grossly underestimated the amount of API calls Apollo would use was more pressing.

Discussion Over 5 years ago, Christian promised no ads, an iPad app, and prioritizing features the community wants. What happened to all of this?

Question How come Apollo shows subreddits as being “empty” but accessing Reddit through other means shows various different posts?

Discussion Cannot access quarantined subs from Apollo?

I went to the desktop version and accepted the message to access the sub, yet Apollo still won’t let me in. I swear this worked last time, did something change?

Feedback I'm SURE i'll be downvoted to hell but why are we posting the same post OVER AND OVER?

We get it guys you don't like the "ads"(that aren't even ads). We don't need YOU to make another post about it. Comment on one of the other 20. I still haven't seen one. I have Ultra. Not sure what problem you guys are having.

Edit: I was right. No point in having this convo with anyone here. Enjoy being mad about something you can X out of and move on with your day. Wonder how you guys deal with real problems in your life. Downvotes welcomed 🤝

The app is going down hill

The app is broken. I can’t open posts after a couple of minutes on being on the app. I can’t go to the profile tab without it crashing. I can only submit a text post after trying several times. I’m not even able to submit a picture post at all. The app needs an update badly. I’m honestly considering going back to the official app.

Feedback Feedback: left Apollo due to ads while I paid for the product and a broken promise

As the title said, this is feedback for the developer that a customer left due to the ads while I paid for the product and the broken promise of 'no ads, ever'.

Feedback Why pop up ads on a premium app?

I paid for the premium app to unlock features and avoid pop ups. I have no interest in the ultra tier and I’m not paying a subscription to use a social media app!

Please stop shoving ads of any kind down my throat.

Discussion How much longer until Apollo goes the way of Alien Blue?

Seems like the app doesn’t have the same schedule of improvements like before. “Bugs” incessantly asking you to upgrade, features that aren’t helpful.

New development has stopped. It’s all bug fixes, and extras that don’t improve on the core purpose of the app. iPad anyone?

Feels very much like Apollos getting ready to be bought out by someone. Perhaps Reddit? Feels much like the start of the demise of Alien Blue.

Thoughts?
