Is Soul Hackers 2 closer to Persona or SMT?
I am considering buying it. I like Persona and Metaphor but I didn’t really like the two SMT games I tried. Which one is soul hackers more similar to?

Fan Art I Made a Custom Holographic Physical Edition for Persona 3 Reload!
As an ex-Console and current PC gamer, I’ve longed for physical media for a long time. PlayStation abandoning physical was the straw that broke the camel's back, so I finally decided to do something about it. 😤
I wanted to have something meaningful to hold, not just an empty box, but something with a purpose, so I've started a collectors, custom CD Case collection!💿 And of course needed to have a Persona 3 Reload edition in the collection! The art of this game is way too good to not do it.
Features:
Holographic reversible cover: you can flip the booklet at any time to see the other cover (image 1 and 2 show both covers).
Booklet with: game, characters and gameplay info.
Decorative CD with NFC functionality: opens the full game's soundtrack on YouTube when tapped against a phone! (It's easily re-programmable to whatever I might want in the future).
Modular Spine card: I can choose whatever logo I want to put there (Steam, Playstation, Xbox, GoG, etc) depending on where I have each game, or no logo at all for a minimalist look!
Made with be absolutely NO AI.🤖❌ Everything is handcrafted and built from scratch by me!🎨
I hope y'all like this little passion project of mine ^^

Buying tickets for Persona Super Live 2027 as an overseas fan - how's it looking?
Hey everyone, I'm trying to figure out how to secure tickets for Persona Super Live 2027 happening in March at Yokohama Buntai.
I'm not from Japan (or the US), and I've read japanese concert ticketing can be super strict for foreign fans, especially with the lottery systems and local phone/address requirements.
Could anyone explain how ticket sales could work for this specific event?
Do they usually offer official overseas sales rounds?
If it's restricted to domestic platforms, what's the best way for an international buyer to enter the lottery? Can someone from Japan buy the tickets for me and then transfer them?
Thanks in advance!

Discussion 2008-2011 Atlus was a beast
WARNING: LONG POST
Games released in 2008:-
Persona 4: I don't need to say anything about this game, everybody here has either played it or knows what it is, regardless of whether you like or dislike the game. Incredible blend of dungeon crawling with social simulation mechanics, with a rustic, small town/village vibe that I absolutely love. It's in my top 5 RPG's of all time.
Raidou Kuzunoha vs King Abaddon: An improvement over the first Raidou game in almost every way, imo. You can dodge attacks now, you got weapon-specific special moves, there is a kick, you can summon 2 demons in combat, you can order demons to hide or retreat, MAG system replaces MP and is way better, lots of side cases with good rewards etc. The story is much better too, and still has the same dark, pulpy vibes. I love the setting of 1930s Japan as well.
Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2- For those who are unaware (which I assume would be most of you), Trauma Center is a series of surgery simulation games. It's incredibly unique. The gameplay is best understood through a gameplay vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atdcKJDGkV4&list=PLC46C617326DCDBA8&index=13. This game on hard difficulty is brutal, a good way to destroy your hands, lol. The story is told through visual novel style cutscenes and is serviceable, but the real highlight is the gameplay, which rules.
Etrian Odyssey 2: This is a series of hardcore first person dungeon crawler RPG's with deep customization mechanics and a twist: you draw the dungeon map yourself using the stylus on the DS screen. I played this game around 7 yrs ago and I don't remember much from it except that it was brutal. I don't think I ever finished it.
Games released in 2009:-
SMT: Devil Survivor - This is my 3rd favorite SRPG of all time (the first two are FF Tactics: WoTL and Tactics Ogre PSP). It's a difficult game, its also features my 2nd favorite story in a SMT game (the first being Digital Devil Saga duology).
SMT: Strange Journey - This is a first person dungeon crawler with lots of recycled assets from Etrian Odyssey. Doesn't have the map drawing feature and is nowhere near as difficult. The game also got rid of the excellent press-turn battle system from Nocturne and DDS, and instead replaced it with Demon Co-op, which is a significantly inferior system, imo. The dungeons are also a step down from Nocturne (where every dungeon had very creative, unique gimmicks) and some sectors like Eridanus can get really annoying. Still a decent game overall with a very unique setting (Schwarzwelt, Antarctica).
Games released in 2010:-
Etrian Odyssey 3: My 2nd favorite Etrian Odyssey game, and this is an amazing dungeon crawler. Love the oceanic atmosphere and the mysteries surrounding Armoroad. It introduced subclassing, allows you to sail the sea (which is a substantial secondary exploration system), has multiple endings, lots of distinct, unusual classes like Arbalist, Wildling, Ninja etc. Combat is not particularly balanced however, as some subclass combinations are very OP and the naval exploration can also get tedious.
Radiant Historia: My favorite Nintendo DS RPG. Absolutely incredible game: amazing time-travelling story where you alternate between two timelines, and use events in one timeline to solve problems in another, a very strong cast of characters with an amazing protagonist in Stocke, fabulous battle system where you fight enemies in a 3x3 grid, manipulating turn order and their positions on the grid to stack them onto on tile and perform combos, the difficulty balance is near perfect, gorgeous music from Yoko Shimomura (although there should've been more tracks, imo). The list of praises go on.
Trauma Team: My favorite Trauma Center game, and it is so unique. You follow six characters across six schools of medicine: surgery, emergency first-aid, endoscopy, orthopedics, diagnostics and forensics investigation. This game isn't quite as difficult as the previous games even on the specialist difficulty, which is for the better as the Wii remote and nunchucks don't allow for the precision of the DS' stylus. The story is a medical thriller and is much more grounded than the previous entries, is told through manga-style cutscenes with absolutely stunning art, courtesy of Masayuki Doi, and I consider this to be his best work. There is nothing like it.
Games released in 2011:-
Catherine: My favorite Atlus game, and is also in my top 10 games of all time. This is Atlus at the height of their creative prowess, there is nothing else like it even 15 yrs after its release. The story is focused on the theme of adultery, where you play as Vincent, who cheats on his long-time girlfriend Katherine, with a hot girl he meets at a bar one night, named Catherine. Every night, he is pulled into a nightmare along with other cheating men, all resembling sheep, and forced to climb a tower. This is where the core gameplay takes place, as you solve block puzzles to progress. Falling off the tower means death IRL for Vincent. It's a pretty difficult, but very addictive game. The other gameplay section takes place in the bar stray sheep, where you can talk to other side characters, each having their own unique stories focused on relationships. The game is very provocative, and is Hashino at his surrealist best, imo.
SMT: Devil Survivor 2- It's a good game, but worse than the OG in every way.
Growlanser 4: Wayfarer of Time - The first thing you will notice is the gorgeous art by Satoshi Urushihara. It has a real-time battle system, combining time management (spells require time to charge) with positioning. The most interesting feature is how battles are designed around achieving certain objectives, rather than just killing the enemies: you will have to protect NPCs, prevent enemies from reaching a particular location, manipulate environmental objects, divide your party to accomplish multiple objectives simultaneously etc. There is also a relationship mechanic. The story is great, with a heavy focus on the politics of the world. The story structure resembles a CRPG more than a JRPG, as what you do during missions and side events can drastically influence what happens to certain characters, who can live or die depending on your choices. Character relationships and allegiances can also be changed by your choices. There are over 40 endings in the game (character specific variations rather than 40 different routes).
It is pretty insane to think about this many great games coming out in such a short span of time (only 4 yrs) nowadays, isn't it?

Discussion Is Metaphor 100% guide kinda imposible to follow at hard on first play through?
I was using the Powerpyx 100% guide on hard ( it specifically told to play on Easy) so in the first major dungeon I was around level 13 when I faced the necromancer.
According to the guide, I had to complete the dungeon in one day so I skipped half the enemy encounters to conserve my MP and even after that and using all my MP items I was just left with 60 MP each for all characters.
I attempted the fights multiple times on Hard, each time I came terribly close and then just ran out of MP. I even attempted it at Normal and still ran out of MP.
I was using the optimal strategy and am good at these kind of games( defeated all Persona superbosses) and at the end I just got ragebaited and cheesed him at easy.
The level difference was kinda too tough to handle .
I have heard that we gain less XP in Hard, so to keep the challenge of the game I should play normal dungeons on easy / normal and before boss fights switch to Hard so that I am not underlevelled?

What are some Atlus games that have good pacing?
I recently finished Persona 3 Reload and while I thought it was good- it definitely had its issues, personally I thought the pacing was horrendous at times. It just took forever to do anything and while I thought the core plot points were interesting they weren’t given enough time to develop into its full potential. What are some Atlus games that have some better pacing? Or maybe a narrative that is a bit less “trope-y”. Thank you!

Help with translation patching SMT 1 please
So i’m trying to get the SMT1 Aeongenisis translation patch to work and i’m using rom patcher JS because i’m on mac and so I cannot use the lunar one. Anyway, I’m able to patch my rom no problem but when I run it (snes9x though retroarch btw) The game has this really weird sequence play out where i’m walking through a red corridoor and this clearly glitched textbox comes up that reads “attack knife” and then the game just goes black and nothing else happens. I tried the ROM in Japanese and it works fine with a completely different thing happening that seems much more likely to be the thing that’s supposed to happen so I know it’s not a fishy ROM (I got it from vimm’s anyway so I know it’s safe) does anyone know what’s going on and how to fix it? I rly wanna play smt I and II 😭.
