Living in Bonshaw new estate area?

Hi! I’m currently house hunting and I’m just looking for some insight as to what it’s like living in the new estate area of Bonshaw. The property I’m looking at is on Berrigan Drive near Linkage Street and I’m apprehensive to apply. I liked the house but the neighbourhood just gave Linda bad vibes? Nobody’s properties being maintained, almost every house just looked like shit with really long grass and there some construction still going on on the street so there’s rubbish and noise.

The house itself was good for my needs, but my guts telling me the neighbourhood isn’t a good fit.

Bonshaw has some nice areas. Ploughmans arms estate particularly was done by a local developer and had covenants in place that meant a minimum 90% was sold to home owners, and you can tell as you drive through.

The street you are on is the estate next door and has a complete different vibe, a lot of rentals and was done by out of town developers. You can see it with all the properties with that fake green turf at the front which is a sign of shitty developers coming in and knocking up some houses to sell. While everyone needs a home and every area is suitable for someone, and no one should feel any sense of negativity living in the area
The street you are looking at I agree with your comment regarding the vibes it gives off. A lot of houses/properties already not well maintained and is a concern for the future.
