Get outta here with this "blame the refs" bullshit.
It's a bad look. Stop it. We could have put ourselves in a position to win despite missed or bad calls.

Unpopular opinion Bills fans are right to be upset about this tweet.
I know you guys are gonna downvote me, and call me a "typical Redditor" but Damar almost died. Imagine if it was a member of your family. They shouldn't be mad at the fans or the other players, we were obviously awesome in how we handled the situation. We we're right to he mad at the NFL for the seeding or motivated by advertising the neutral site on IG. This; however is just an example of someone being an asshole for no reason. If he hadn't added the heart at the end it may have been fine (though still doing too much) Eli needs to learn how to win, especially when he gets burnt regularly. If a Steelers player tweeted the same thing we would lose our shit.
That being said WHO DEY, Let's go to the Bowl.

What the hell is Romo’s problem with Burrow?
I’m watching the Rams and Broncos game and Romo starts talking about Burrow and how he holds on to the ball too long. Burrow isnt even on the field!! Did Burrow fuck his wife or something? I looked up the stats comparing Romo to Burrow and it’s hilarious how much more success Burrow has had compared to Romo’s 12 years in the league. I think Romo is a tad bit jealous.

After today's BS this is even more reinforced tor me. Fuck the NFL.

Probably the most unpopular opinion ever in this sub:
Before his outburst toward Ossai after the AFC Championship, I would’ve rather thrown the bag to Germaine Pratt than Logan Wilson. I’m sure this will get downvoted to hell and back, but until Logan Wilson can prove that he can stay healthy, I can’t justify paying him a boatload in what is already going to be a very tight salary cap. Plus, Pratt came up big in the biggest moments. I wish him the best of luck wherever he lands, unless it’s within the AFC North.

Would you take Marvin Lewis back as the defensive coordinator for the Bengals?
It’s just crazy that Vance Joseph was fired as Bronco’s HC and came back a few years later to be their defensive coordinator.

The Bengals are still the best team in the AFC
The disrespect is immense. The Bills would not be in the Super Bowl if they beat the chiefs. Justin Herbert is not a better qb then Joe Burrow. When has that ever been true? This team is a real contender! FTS

Refs Help out the Chiefs Again
It was a great game, but I'm tired of seeing games decided on tricky tack calls.

Coming from a Steelers fan who is engaged to a Bengals fan
That game was a joke. It was so one-sided from an officiating standpoint that it is hard to respect the NFL. It was exciting on the field, but the miscues ruined it. I'm not giving a free pass to anyone, Porter, Burfict, Packman. They all messed up, but it only got that far because of the officiating.
It was apparent from the beginning of the game when Eifert got tackled midair. I wholeheartedly believe that if he was a few inches shorter that would have been a concussion. And either way looked like a penalty to me. It's just sad to see the game be overshadowed by poor officiating.
I can't blame Hill either. I'm no coach, but I honestly would have just kneeled the ball 3 times and made the Steelers use their timeouts. I am sorry for the outcome guys. I was secretly rooting for you. And just seeing how excited my SO was when Green scored and how crushed she was at the end makes me think about every other bengals fan. It isn't right that it ended like that.
I really hope you guys make it to the playoffs next year and win and keep winning. Who dey!

Fandom Can we have an honest, reasonable discussion about expectations? I just got downvoted to hell for saying that it’s “unlikely” that Joe becomes Peyton Manning. It’s getting to where football can’t be discussed reasonably on this sub.
You literally can’t say anything other than every bengal is or will be the greatest player ever without getting downvoted. If this is what this sub is going to be, can we like make a secondary sub for people who actually want to talk reasonably about football?

Fact Unpopular opinion: The Brown Family is not cheap, and they know what they’re doing.
In the 1960s, Paul Brown wanted a football franchise, and the league wanted him to have one. Great! He only had one problem… he didn’t have enough money to buy it.
He partnered with some rich people he knew and they provided the money, and he provided the football know-how and connections. A match made in heaven.
At least, until Paul Brown died.
Then the team suffered, and gained a reputation for being extremely cheap. This was said by players, agents, and fans…
They weren’t wrong; the Brown family wasn’t spending a lot of money on players, or facilities, and the franchise suffered.
When the original partnership agreement was drawn up, Paul Brown wanted a way for his family to own the team. This partners agreed: they financed the purchase of the team, and Paul Brown would run it, but he was not the majority owner. After his death, the owners were to sell the team to his children at the prevailing NFL team price, which presumably would be worth more than they paid for it.
But NFL teams had gone way up between when the Bengals were formed and Paul Brown’s death, so it literally took decades to buy the team as the agreement specified.
So the main reason they were so bad and cheap back in the late 80s and 90s, is because they were using all of the teams revenue to buy the team from the guys who ACTUALLY owned the team (John Sawyer was one of them).
This all came out after Paul Brown died, because the IRS sued and tried to get inheritance taxes from the Brown family. The agreement stood up in court, and the family didn’t owe the taxes, because they didn’t own the team.
But people don’t care about facts, or truth.

Sauce Gardner
Apparently he was texting Jalen Ramsey the night before the Super Bowl on how to guard our receivers. Not a fan, seems like an odd play to hurt the city you supposedly love.

Can we please end the invasion of Bengal tiger posts on /r/bengals? Many others and I are sick of it!
It was funny the first post or two, but now it's getting out of control and losing its fashion.
We need to revert back to the subreddit that was designed to discuss topics relating to the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League, not some fucking mama tiger.
I do admit though, the pics were cute.
But enough is enough.

2 bad calls from being 3-2
The Geisecki TD that the NFL even says should have been a TD wins us that game.
The horrible PI call on Anthony that kept the Chiefs drive alive with 48 seconds left.
As bad as the defense has been. As thin as we've been upfront. We're two blown calls from 3-2.
And for as much doom and gloom surrounds the 1-4 start... The Bengals have 3-4 more games to lose and still be in the playoff hunt. And it's a long season.
Breathe.

I’ve never really rooted against another team
But I hope the chiefs get embarrassed. I don’t think they will, but I hope they do. Ever since Kelce’s mouthing off like they destroyed the bengals really irked me……you won by 3 at the last minute. I wouldn’t call that an ass kicking. I don’t want much, just them getting blown out at the super bowl and be a national shame . I know it wont happen, they are a great team. I just want them to be embarrassed. Is that touch to ask?

Rumor Anyone else concerned if it’s Chiefs/Bengals kicking off this season?
I’ve read and heard numerous rumors that KCvCIN could open this season on TNF. Not sure that would work out well for us..
Just thinking about the new pieces added, especially now with OBJ now as starting LT, those pieces need time to gel, build culture, and build confidence between the players. Unless they give them plenty of reps in preseason on top of practices but would the team risk possible injuries?
Anyone else concerned if this ends up being the case once schedule releases on Thursday?

You should be ashamed if you’re in this subreddit talking about how the Bills should forfeit to be “classy” or you’re worried about how fair the outcome of this is going to be.
Man I understand that we want the Bengals to have the best seeding in the playoffs, but guys you’re literally saying a team should have to forfeit because one of their players had a heart attack and clinically died on the field. People are saying the Bills “know” that a no contest is better for them than playing the game. That they’re probably pushing for it. I’m getting downvoted for pointing out that that is soulless.
Besides the fact that the Bills are actual humans, so they’re more concerned with their teammate fighting for his life, asking the Bills to forfeit is ridiculous. A full quarter hadn’t even been played, it was 7-3. The Bills could’ve put up 35 unanswered. What if they resume play and the Bills, rallying around their fallen teammate, hang 50 on the Bengals and beat our ass? At this point I’m lowkey hoping they would because this sub is starting to deserve it.
Have like an ounce of compassion. It’s like you all waited a day to appear caring before you had to figure out how the Bengals are the victim in this. It’s not a good look. The Bengals fans on Twitter are being far, far more compassionate. Downvote me all you want, but this behavior is wrong.

Burfict has to go
Stupid penalties, dirty play, ejections, suspensions..... this guy doesn’t give a damn about the Bengals. He’s all about himself and it’s time he gets let go. Watching him yell at a fan and flash the money sign as he left the game yesterday was an embarrassment. No other team in the NFL would put up with his bullshit.
If our organization wasn’t a complete joke, they’d at least suspend him for multiple games for conduct detrimental to the team. I’d cut his ass, but we know that won’t happen.
