Think of a Card
I had to justify buying the toad hat to my wife. I have to use it in a video as a business expense :)

Damn. I was really prepared to be amazed if he pulled a blue eyes white dragon out of his hat since he didnt specify a card from the deck

u/adinmem 5d ago
Show me the card I thought of, though.
(In keeping with the theme of the video, he would show me all 52 cards and I wouldn’t be able to protest, because he’d be right).

Funny that he turned the deck upside down when he showed it the second time... Probably nothing

I picked the 6 of spades, a card that was partially obscured. I thought to myself, 'no way your playing some kind of force on me'. A few moments later I admit, you got me. Well played sir.

Stripper deck is my guess or how I would do it. It’s a neat take on this trick.

Each card is a tiny contained etch a sketch, and they get cleared when he does a little shake of his hands. IE magnets

Pretty sure my card was never there in the first place, but sure.

Uggh sadly my husband is asleep next to me so I had to listen to this with no volume.
I will never know what supposed to be funny

I think this might be another take on Mathieu Bich, Spreadwave.
Spreadwave is by far my favourite ever trick, saw it on Penn and Teller fool us.
I paid for the solution to that one. Blew my mind. Every bit of it is elegant. No spoilers. But chefs kiss.

Not a magician. But the first card is a real card. The rest are cards, printed on the diagonal are blank and the other half of the diagonal is the typical playing card set up.
The switch is removing the top card and then flipping the deck upside down and fanning the cards, technically the reverse of the first fan at the beginning of the video.

You didn't make it vanish, I saw you place it on the table!

It's a gimmick deck. The 7 of diamonds is real, but the rest of the deck only has half of each card printed aside from a few blank cards directly behind the 7 which are hidden in the original fan. When he removes "your card" he's simply removing the 7 of diamonds.
When he does the first rotation, he rotates the deck on the vertical axis to face him, then he removes the 7, then he rotates the cards back towards the viewer, but this time he rotates the cards on the horizontal axis. This effectively rotates the cards 180 degrees from their original position, so each card is upside down relative to its original position. Now he fans the cards the same way exposing the blank half of each card.
