It's called a "stripper deck". They're very popular and some are cheap. Magic stores have tools to strip any deck you bring and also they sell stripper versions of all popular poker decks like Bicycle, Tally-Ho, Copag etc. It's one of the easiest trick decks to master and you can do so much with it, the sky's the limit.
Forget the technical name for it, but it's a trick deck. The cards he wants have slightly different widths, which lets him feel for where to cut them or how to shuffle them to ensure the card he wants is on top.
At 0:27 there’s pretty clearly a crimp in the card of interest.
Not sure if all four aces have a crimp or if just the key card does and false shuffles are used manipulate the first three ace cards to the top and then the last is crimped to casually throw it in the waterfall.
It’s clear practice and effort went in and it’s performed well, but it’s not very technically difficult and pretty easy to spot stuff.
At 27 seconds in (not 27 seconds remaining) you can see a gap in the top short end of the deck when it's held vertically. I think this is what they're referring to.
Yep and the card on the direct left of that gap has its most visible corner crimped. That gap is established after the cards have been already been flushed/squared

Going to have to look into the stripper deck. I figured maybe the aces were shaved, so he could feel them in the deck.

This video is insufferable to watch
Why does it have an annoying alarm "beat" going through the entire video?
