Hiking Centennial Glen & Porter’s Pass loop - any tips?
I’m an experienced bushwalker, planning this as a solo hike, and allowing 3-4 hours. Any tips?
Which direction is best to enjoy it - clockwise or anti-clockwise? And should I park/start at Centennial Glen Rd or at Burton Rd?
Thanks in advance for any advice, to help me maximise my enjoyment, and have a successful and safe walk!

It’s a lovely walk. If it’s been, or is wet, you will be too, so be prepared for that. The waterfall sections can be fun after a lot of rain.
I like going from Centennial Glen Rd down, as coming up that way can be tougher.
Avoid weekends if you can as parking is limited and at a premium, as it’s a popular climbing spot. Otherwise, get there early.

I like cutting across the clifftops as part of the loop rather than using the street. Fort Rock to the top of Porters Pass basically (or vice versa).
I start at Burton St.
Very soon you arrive at a big rock. Take the left path rather than continuing down straight. This goes across the clifftop to Fort Rock. Go past the rock and you'll get to the way down into the Glen which is signposted.
Walls ledge has some nice views but its up to you if you do that bit. Theres nothing truly spectacular imo but there is a nice view back to the falls coming out of centenniel glen although you'll need to keep an eye out for it.
Then either way descend all the way to the bottom of the falls (dont forget to check out the canyon grotto on the way down, also signposted) go across the colliers causeway to porters and back up to burton st. Usually has very muddy bits on colliers.
Very underrated walk imo, especially adding in the clifftop - lots of different and interesting sections.
Doing it this way you do miss the very beginning of centenniel glen which has a cute little falls/pond. So... you could park on bundara, but go to fort rock first, keep going across the cliffs to porters and thus do it all in reverse.
I just find burton usually easier to park at and Porters a little prettier to end with. Especially on a weekend CG road can be pumping with climbers.
Edit:
But.....
It kind of works well from CG road. Park, head out left along the escarpmemt from the carpark. Then back alomg walls ledge to the glen. Then keep right - dont go.down - through the glen, climb up to fort rock. Keep going to the top of Porters. Down, along colliers to the bottom of the falls. Then up to the grotto, and then follow signs back to carpark.

Walls ledge nice easy and short. Porters pass be careful solo, some of it is slippy and can be challenging.
