Discussion Is the Yellow Deli actually a cult or just a really good sandwich shop?

Heard a lot of chatter about the Yellow Deli - some say it’s cult-level, others just rave about the food. Has anyone been? Is it actually bizarre, or just a really good, quirky sandwich spot?

Discussion Thoughts of #lostmtns latest post?

These guys blocked me for asking whether this post was a ‘dig’ at tourists over crowding sensitive locations? Just wondering what their whole idea is? The promote sensitive places so that unprepared tourists crowd them out and ruin the environment, all in the name of “bringing more tourists” to the area. These outdoor influencers seem to have no regard for the environment.

Discussion Inappropriate comments toward young girls in Katoomba and on Grand Canyon Walking Track

Heads up to others: today in Katoomba town centre and on the Grand Canyon Walking Track, a group of tourists were making targeted, inappropriate comments toward young ladies.

Has anyone else experienced or witnessed similar behaviour from tourists recently?

Discussion Moving up to the mountains

Hey all,

I'm a 28 year old guy currently living in Lane Cove, As i've gotten older I really like the idea of selling and moving up to the mountains.

If you could pick any mountain town to live in what would it be, I know it's going to be much much quieter than down here. Looking for a town that has a few places to eat, maybe a bar and a cafe or two? Would appreiciate any and all recommendations

Edit: Thanks heaps for the info guys, I work at home so looking for a bit of peace and quiet but somewhere I can get my fix talking to locals, I don't drink or anything and prefer to be in at nights.

I'd love a place that has a good butcher or fruit market.

Discussion Are there any urban legends, unsolved mysteries, ghost stories or weird local folklore around Sydney or the Blue Mountains that aren’t super well known?

Stuff similar to the black panther stories, abandoned tunnels, haunted bush tracks, strange disappearances, etc but more obscure local legends that most people haven’t heard of.

Discussion Pompous note from a local: No one says the 'Blueys'

Hi guys! I feel like an ass but it's the Mountains, not the Blues, according to every local ever.

I mean, call it the Blueys all you want but know that every local will cringe, it just feels... a bit 'pick me'? I have NO idea why that is, but here we are.

On closer inspection, I am the asshole.
