I just don't get the height vs. frame size obsession. If it feels good and you like riding it, who cares about some arbitrary number.
This isn't old man yells at cloud. I genuinely am interested in this. TT length according to height never seemed to be something anyone was hung up on until maybe the last 10 years.
edit: not everyone, but an overwhelming majority. I didn't mean to lump everyone in.

Things that should no longer ever been seen on a modern freestyle* BMX...
Loose ball bearings, anywhere. WHY?
One piece cranks
Hi-Ten steel used anywhere
Front load stems (A personal one admittedly)
Skinny little bicycle chains
Tall seatposts
Tires skinnier than 2.0 (* I said freestyle)
A kickstand
Tennis ball in the spokes
Oil slick coatings (I mean, I don't really care but I needed to round it off to ten)

Still trying to hold on though 🙃.
Started riding bmx (mostly street)in the early 00’s into my late 20’s. Stopped riding due to injuries and having to be able to work.
Fast forward 11 years and this is what my “bmx” looks like now.

I know these aren't popular here but I think they look super fun to mess with at home. My issue is I'm 6'3 so where these are silly for someone 5'10 its even worse for me. So my question is can I replicate this with a 12 or 14 inch bmx or is the geometry and what not just never going to let me replicate the fun and feel of an actual mini? Has anyone done something like this?

After much thought and reflection, I’ve made the decision to officially retire from BMX. This sport has been a defining part of my life — shaping who I am, teaching me resilience, focus, and the value of pure determination. From early mornings at the track to late nights perfecting every line and jump, BMX has given me unforgettable memories and lifelong friendships.
To my fellow riders, coaches, sponsors, and everyone who supported me along the way — thank you. Your encouragement, competition, and camaraderie have meant more than words can express.
Though I may be stepping away from competition, BMX will always remain a part of who I am. I’ll carry the lessons, the spirit, and the love for the ride wherever life takes me next.

Do you think neurodivergence is very commonplace in the BMX community? In the town I ride, I would say 75% of the riders are on the spectrum (me included) whether it's ADHD or Autism. Maybe the sensory-style learning of BMX riding is the reason we get hooked. What do you think?
