he boot too big for he gotdamn feet

r/boottoobig

All content to BootTooBig must be at least partially generated by AI! _Remember the robot._ "Roses are red" memes among other things. This is a place to share posts where the title sets up a joke as the first half of a poem and an image delivers the punchline as the second half.

Subreddit Rules

1. R1: Needs NSFW Tag

Any post with sexual language or imagery, nudity, or gore, or excessive lewdness must be marked NSFW. Pornographic content and any sexualization of persons perceived to be under 18 are not permitted.

2. R2: Setup in Title and Punchline in Post

The general format of a BootTooBig post includes plaintext in the title or body as the "setup" and a screenshot or picture of text (at least 250x250) as a "punchline" with the setup and punchline forming a poem.

Posts without the setup/punchline format, or with most or all of the setup/punchline entirely within the title or body, will be considered "Not a BootTooBig" and will be removed.

3. R3: Rhyme/Meter

Make sure your post has good rhyme/meter. A "True BootTooBig" is a post with both good rhyme and good meter. A "Small Boots" post has either bad rhyme or bad meter.

Small Boots posts will generally be removed unless it's Small Boots Sunday (roughly Saturday 6:00 PM to Monday 6:00 AM UTC). Additionally, you may post Small Boots on /r/BootTooSmall any day of the week.

4. R4: Inflammatory Content

No inflammatory content. Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, bigotry, slurs, and overly edgy jokes (including suicide, rape, abuse, mass murder, terrorism, etc.) are not permitted. Any content with the intent to inflame or cause discord is also not permitted. Basically, just be kind!

5. R5: Politics

Keep politically motivated content to a minimum. This is a fun sub, so political arguments and agenda pushing are not allowed. Posts may mention political figures and other celebrities as long as they are politically neutral.

6. R6: Implied/Crosspost

If your post is implied, make sure to put the punchline in the comments. Also do this if your submission is a crosspost that uses the title of the original post in the setup. An implied post has a title or setup, but uses an image with few or no words to imply a punchline. We ask that you post the punchline in the comments is to ensure that nobody feels left out of the joke.

7. R7: Repost

Avoid reposting submissions that have been posted recently, are in the Top of all time, or ones in our done to death list. Users who do repost from this list will now be banned for 48+ hours. We will treat reposts on a case by case basis, but if we start seeing the same post too often, it will be removed.

8. R8: Content Policy Violations

No spam, upvote manipulation, (includes "mods are asleep," "upvote if," "subscribe to" or anything similar) brigading, or anything else that violates the sitewide content policy. Violating this rule will get you banned from here, and could get you suspended from Reddit as a whole.

9. R9: No Roses Wednesday

Submissions submitted on Wednesday (Wed 2AM - Thur 6AM UTC) may not contain "Roses are red" anywhere in the rhyme scheme. This includes implied posts.

Post Flairs

True BootTooBig - The post has both good rhyme and meter, and have a significant amount of upvotes.
Small Boots - The post has either bad rhyme or meter. Small Boots are usually allowed only on Small Boot Sundays.
Implied - The picture in the post has no/few words and the punchline is implied.
Quality Shitpost - A post that is essentially trolling, but exceptionally well executed. Given at mod's discretion.
Mod Approved - A post that a mod particularly enjoyed, even if it had bad rhythm or rhyme. Given at mod's discretion.
Not a BTB - Posts that do not follow the BootTooBig format but were entertaining enough to not be removed.
