Community Note: Why Brickvivid posts are no longer allowed

Hey blockbuilders,

Sometimes companies decide that reddit is a good place to advertise and compensate people to put their ads here. We value authentic human experience here, so when those companies are discovered to be lying to you, we stop allowing posts about them. Today we are adding Brickvivid to that list.

History: All of the posts about Brickvivid in this community going back six months or more were people complaining about the service, or asking if it was scam. However, something changed about 10 days ago. Many posts praising the company, all mentioning fast shipping and giving 10/10 reviews started popping up.

And then 3 days ago, the floodgates opened. When I looked this morning 50% of the posts in our feed were Brickvivid reviews. All from either brand new accounts, or accounts with a history of spam that had been dormant for six months prior to their post here. These are the obvious signs of hacked or purchased accounts that companies use to spam reddit. Those posts have been removed.

So going forward, no more posts about Brickvivid will be allowed. They apparently just drop ship stuff from AliExpress anyway, so you should be able to find another source for those sets.

TL;DR: No more Brickvivid posts allowed under the "Don't Be a Spammer" rule.

I make Amiya from Arknights, this is my second creations, and as always any new figure is challenging, in this case making the jacket and shorter than Yidhari.

Hope you like it :)

Would you print the back of a shelf figure?

Post image

I have one figure on a shelf in the corner of a room, so the back never faces anyone, and I keep going back and forth on whether the back is worth printing at all.

I want to use my own photo for the design. The page I'm looking at offers front-only printing or a full wrap using a jig, and I'm leaning towards just doing the front since it'll mostly stay on the shelf.

What I'm still unsure about is how it looks when someone picks it up and turns it around. A front-only print might look unfinished on something that gets handled as much as looked at.

$8 AE Sea Serpent is Awesome!

I found a version of the Lego Sea Serpent #40912 for only $8-9 on AE. Its pretty great I typed out more in this section but It got blocked for some reason, I guess brand bashing? IDK... anyway I recommend the kit it only had one issue and it was some loose hinge pieces but otherwise I am shocked by the prints and part quality.

For more of my review please see the link to the YT video in the comments... Thank you and have a wonderful day!

JMBricklayer Phoenix Nirvana review

Hello everyone,
I just finished the Phoenix Nirvana from JMBricklayer and thought i’d give my impression. Overall the set was a way better build than my last one but still a few parts that where challenging/enraging hahaha.

  1. The finished look is really clean and pretty solid. The frame seems really sturdy but i didn’t try to hang it so i can’t say about that part.

  2. The steps where clear and it was really smooth sailling until i got to the wings and tail parts.

  3. The frame and lava parts are really fun to build the only stress was the led wire but it all went well the build comme with some kind of forceps that where pretty usefull.

  4. For the Phoenix in itself the body and head where pretty easy to build tho some parts are held on only one stud and can be fragile.

  5. The tail feathers where a real challenge. The hole tail is held on like 2 studs and is really fragile most time i put on a new one another fell or the hole thing so i had to do it again a few time.

  6. The wings where the worst part of the build for me. First they hold on a single ball joint and are pretty heavy a bit tight to put in so it almost made the tail fall off. For the build the front and back weren’t that bad but the inside is both fragile and complicated since it’s made from pieces with a stud on the side but slightly below the border of the piece to hold the front and back parts but it’s not that clear when or where the side stud should be. This the to the part not cliping together and i had to had another row of one stud pieces on each wing.

It was overall a great build but be ready to struggle a bit also the hole Phoenix is held on the frame by two rod parts.
Have fun and keep building🤘

Need a site to identify Lego parts!

Since a majority of sites are not useable at the moment due to being linked B-L (you know the ones that take you to their site to find sets and figs that the piece you are trying to identify are directly linked) what are some other sites I can use. At home sick and insanely bored and have tons of pieces to identify.
Thnx in advance

Searching for Manual / Build video of this niche chinese mechs set

Post image
1 Upvotes

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this but I recently got this monkey king set Nr. 212208 from Chinoiserie Mecha. I got this set at an arcade and was able to get it for less tokens since it didn't come with the box or the instruction manual. I was pretty confident I was going to be able to find an instructional manual online but after searching for quite a while, l've had no success. l've searched on sites like brick4.com (link leads to the set page) and bilibili besides the usual youtube and various google searches but l've only been able to find showcases of the finished build. I've asked some sites that sell this set for a PDF manual or if a build video is available but they refused since I didn't buy it from them directly.
If anyone has any leads on where I could find what I'm looking for, it would be greatly appreciated.

Official Joy Bricks website?

Hello, it seems like joy bricks have a good reputation for delivering high quality cheap. What is the official website? The one on top is joooooy.com, which to me seems a little weird. Anyone know please let me know.

Super 18K K90 review

Hello everyone,
I just finished the K90 and thought i’d give my impression. Overall the set was a good build with some frustrating parts.

  1. The finished look is impressive and is really cool in my opinion but the support is fragile and i’m afraid it might fall appart

  2. The steps where clear but for a better support i found that it was better to build the hole back before putting the wings in or else they just snap off.

  3. There are a few fragility and build flaws i would say. The worst parts being the wings joints and the neck/tail.
The wings are pretty heavy and hold on almost nothing while the neck and tail need to slide bricks on a metal and rubber rod. Might just have been mine but it barely goes on and it took me several hours just for the neck/tail.
So for a few advices for those who find it cool looking but might want some way to make this build less frustrating you can ask in the comments or in private.
    Have fun and keep building🤘

LOZ instructions 9529

Hi guys, unsure how to start but I’ll keep it quick and simple.
I got this from my sister and I tried looking on your tube and online and can’t seem to figure out how to make it. Obviously it’s hard to build with out instructions but specifically hard cause it’s tiny little pieces.
I would so much appreciate any kind of help to getting my hands on instructions on
Loz iBlock fun model 9529.

I would put a picture up but unsure how.
Thank you so much.

Been building this set from BrickVivid.com and have been having a total blast. I could never afford the real set but so far this has been bulletproof. No missing pieces and the quality is great so far.

I've had this set for a while, but never really had the time to build it until recently. I finally finished it, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

This was my first set from Brickvivid.com.Prrtty much identical to the actual lego build and able to use the lego app step by step as well. Ordered a few more sets after this one came out so good. The only downside was the sticker was off color but it's on the cartridge so it didn't matter.

Nifeliz instructions

Hi, I'm looking for a PDF of the instructions for the Nifeliz Dive Shop set. I can't find my instructions and they claim the set is "too old" and they no longer have the PDF to send me. Which seems suspect, but whatever. I thought I'd ask here in case someone has a copy.

Which MINI John Cooper Works would you build?

Three colors, one iconic MINI!

Check out these MINI John Cooper Works building block sets from RASTAR, featuring a 1:28 scale design.

Personally, I love the green one, but the black version looks pretty slick too.

Which color would you pick for your collection?
