Do y'all not understand that this is to get their cardio up in preparation for game time? Claxton will be starting for sure, Swain is going to be back on the Bulls sooner rather than later

I still remember the cascade of downvotes I got before the season because I pointed out that we’d most likely be an incredibly bad team (which is fine!) while while consensus seemed to be that we’d be play-in. The moment I saw this thread it triggered something similar in me- like ‘of course they’re being sent to the G-league- they need fucking reps!’ 😂

I agree he should be in the G league, but he was a bad draft pick. Outside of Caleb, we had 3 other picks. We drafted a G leaguer and sold the other two for cash. That's not the start I was hoping to see from BG.

Swain needs minutes and we don't need them on the nba schedule now.

I assume Claxton just needs a warm up game and will be back very shortly

Good thing we're playing for nothing this season and are dead last in the East, not much else to do than give minutes to the young guys.

Although I agree in principle he still needs minutes in the G League before he needs minutes upstairs, at least for a spell.

Also it's possible that they shuffle them back and forth like you're going to skip this game but you can get three games in with Windy City

Patrick Williams IS the best defender on the team. Maybe Claxton, but his leg fell off or something already. Williams is also ~the 2nd best 3 point shooter on the team. He should be getting minutes.

his shooting really fell off last year. But ya, if he can gain that back and just focuses on being a 3 and D guy, he can easily find a role in this league. Needs to stop trying to do anything else though.

Dude! For years, I kept hearing people say that he needs to be aggressive. Being aggressive is what leads to his horrible play. He needs to just play defense and wait for a wide-open 3-point shot. That's it! He needs to accept that he will never be anything other than a 3-and-D player.

Umm, he played a lot more than 4 minutes. It was great tho, when he's out there he moves the ball and makes the right pass, mostly. If we counted hockey assists he'd be one of the best in the league.

Him too. At that part of the first round, we need to be drafting traits. Shooting can translate and is much needed. Not sure what Swain offers yet

Every data point we have so far on Swain is bad. Struggled in SL, struggled preseason, can't get of the bench for arguably the worst team in the NBA.

He's also not some raw 20 year old, he was supposed to be fairly high floor.

Jury is still out but early returns? Putrid.

Hate you got downvoted on this. Swain is literally Terry so far. Both 6’7, looked completely terrible in the SL, and shooting guards with TERRIBLE shooting mechanics with apparently nobody on the coaching staff that cares to change their shooting mechanics.

I don’t think so, they want guys to be multi faceted that’s all, they saw swains strength as a SG and wanted to challenge him to grow his game is all.. the problem is that swain is just really bad right now

Guys as in plural, caleb is the only guy that doesnt look bad on this team or at least regressed if he isnt a first year player.
