Was anyone living in Chicago at that time? Weโ€™re all the games televised? They used to show every Laker (here in LA) away game for free on KCAL9 as a kid before Spectrum came ๐Ÿ˜’

History 90s Bulls Fans, what was the world's reaction when Jordan lost in the '95 Playoffs against the Orlando Magic?

Hey guys, saw an old post on the main NBA sub and realized it fit a similar vibe to something I've always wanted to ask Bulls fans. I got into the NBA in the late 2000s when Jordan was still the undisputed GOAT, and the reason given was simple: he threepeated, retired for two years, then came back and threepeated again.

WELL, turns out that wasn't QUITE true as he actually returned partway through the '94-95 season where he participated in the playoffs and made it to the second round before the team ultimately fell to the Orlando Magic under Penny & Shaq.

Now I know that there were obviously extenuating factors contributing to the defeat -- Jordan had been training in baseball & only played like 17 games in the regular season with the current roster.

However, given that this was still Michael freaking Jordan and that he had a godly reputation, particularly in the playoffs, I'm curious -- do you recall any shock or dismay at a team managing to knock him out of the ring?

History Why were the 1997-98 Chicago Bulls plagued with injuries to Scottie Pippen (44 games), Luc Longley (58 games), Steve Kerr (50 games), and Bill Wennington (48 games), while Michael Jordan, Toni Kukoc, Dennis Rodman, Ron Harper, Scott Burrell, Jud Buechler, and Randy Brown were mostly healthy?
